Two different local dealers blowing out 450s. A standard edition for $78xx otd and an anniversary edition for $7700 otd.
None have been reported here. I haven’t heard of any at all.
My local dealership.. same one purchased from twice now on discount no hidden fees, just oay state tax and $99 doc fee
FWIW, I did 15cc of fork oil and loved it as a 185# Vet B. I’m on the edge of needing some suspension work, it will just barely bottom on some G-outs, but only if I’m pushing. This is some of the best stock suspension I’ve ever ridden.

I know this answer is somewhere in the 55 pages. When you send a map how Do you tell if it’s map 1 or 2 ? How do I know it’s loaded ?
This is where the app is definitely not as good as the yamaha one. The map will get sent to whichever map you have selected on the map switch, I haven't seen anywhere in the app that it will actually tell you which map it is. The way I check if it is loaded is when the bike is running if you go to the monitor part you can see the fuel or ignition change as you rev the bike. It should change to the corresponding amount you changed on the map. Hope this makes sense.
Blue light stays on in map 2....... Oh wait, wrong one. Lol
Down vote. lol
Whats your thoughts on the Showa suspension?
Might go from yami to kawi.. the only thing I am not sure about is the suspension. Love the kyb.. plush with good hold up. Is it possible to get that feeling with the Showa?
In my opinion the kyb is a “plusher” feel on the initial part of the stroke. BUT the showa is much better on flat landers and more confidence inspiring jumping singles to flat
just my .02
Ok thank you! Are the rider triangle more cramped on the 24 compared to 23 or same?
At nearly 6’4”, I can confirm it is the same (and the only brand I am comfortable on). Better yet, the smooth body work doesn’t catch my knees anymore.
Hard for me to give an exact on it but I can say I am very comfy on the bike. I changed bar bends from my 19 to now. So that might be why I feel better on the bike now vs then. But as mentioned above the body work is very appealing to riding.
Ok sounds good
I came from a 23 yamy 450 to the kx and also have a 23 350sxf with kyb forks. I love the kyb feel, very plush up top but still with good bottoming resistance. After my second revalve on the kx forks I will say I am very happy with them. Still not quite the plushness of the kybs but alot of confidence on the bigger hits. Overall I like the kx alot more than the yamaha, but still not sure if I like it more than the 350.
I’ve got a 24 Yamaha 450. I just rode a 24 Kawi 450 the other day with a few basic mods (no vortex). Tell me why you switched, any reason specifically? Thanks
The yz was a good bike, good suspension and crazy motor (too much for me when track was rough). But after 30hrs on it I just got sick of constantly chasing setup, some days on some tracks it was awesome and then the next time it was horrible. I felt I could get a good suspension setting but was always chasing balance, constantly changing fork height and sag numbers. So took the chance on the kx and was more comfortable on it after the first few rides than 30hrs on the yz. If ktm didn't make 350's I would be all in on the kx and put kyb suspension on it, could possibly make it the perfect 450 for anyone who doesn't need the power of the yamy.
This^^^^^
I have a 24 yz also and just bought a 24 kx450 and experiencing the same thing. I’ve been a Kawi guy for a bit but after getting hurt and sidelined for awhile I decided to buy a yz. I was always chasing comfort & never felt 100% on it.
Minus weighing 240lb and killing the stock suspension the Kawi feels great. Have PC exhaust coming and I hope that helps with the power.
Pit Row
I’m kinda in the same boat. Have 12 hours on the Yz. Had a 23 350&450sx. Rode my sons 24 yz and thought how much less vibration the yz had and it was better on square edge chop when the track got rough. So I got one and sold both KTM’s. Been all over the place with set up trying to get it to feel like the KTM’s in a turn. Curious of your height/weight/skill? I’m 50 expert 6” 195. I’ve always been able to adapt to different bikes but I’m kinda struggling on this Yamaha. Dumbed it down as much as I can with the app and have been messing with different gearing combos. I appreciate your feedback.
If you are swapping from the completely stock exhaust you will notice a huge difference. I've also gone up a tooth on the rear and I never use 2nd gear, 3rd, 4th everywhere.
I'm 180cm, 90-95kg and vet B speed (Australia). I kept going more mellow on yz aswell, but I actually ended up most comfortable when I went to 13/52 gearing with more aggressive mapping and running 3rd gear in corners. But ultimately was still never fully happy with it. The new Kx is definitely the best 450 I have ever owned. Kx ergos and just general bike feel to me is better than yamaha or ktm. If they ever make a kx350 ill be first in line, i know the kx is a very mellow 450 but I've definitely come to realise no 450 will ever handle as good as a 350.
Salve. Mi sapreste dire dove si trova il tappo nell’air box da levare. Magari con una foto grazie 🙏
I did cut out all the BS in the muffler.
Is this what you're looking for?

Si. grazie mille 🙏
I was able to get my shock out by just loosing subframe and moving as much as I could but it’s a tighter fit than the last generation. Sure is nice but having to remove tank and subframe.
I have the same slip on coming. How do you like it over stock?
In my opinion much better than stock. Stock has a funny lag when getting on the gas. That's gone with the 4.1 I run it with the spark arrestor in it.
What’s the difference between spark arrestor in or out?
