LOL the American flags are one of the main things I like about the gear but each their own. I totally agree with appreciation of the domestic manufacturing.

Simple answer. Figure out what people need, Start your own company and work 24/7 until it is successful. Get someone you trust to run it and then ride dirt bikes 4 days a week, and don’t worry if a bike or a part cost another couple bucks. You’re welcome.

I’m wondering if saving cash is even a good option right now due to the accelerating inflation rate. How to hedge against inflation is something we should all be trying to figure out and I certainly don’t have a good answer. Maybe an MX forum isn’t the best place to ask about this but I’d love to hear some thoughts...

My local bike, and car dealers, are nearly empty.... local houses are hard to buy, even at 25k over list... prices are insane, while most people's pay is the same... not good...

Hi everyone, So it’s all gone a little crazy the last day or two. Rode a 250 and liked it, but there were no decent ones around. Rode a 125 and loved it despite it being a little slower. It was just nice to choose lines and focus on carrying speed. Couldn’t test a 150. But I’m assuming I’ll love it. So whilst the search for a good 150 continues I saw a bit of a gem on eBay that I couldn’t help but buy for now as it was sensible money 2006 RM125, spent its whole life plodding around...

I had to fill out an application form to purchase VP race fuel last week at my local dealer. They wanted VIN's, year, make, and model on the motorcycles the race fuel was going to be used in before they would sell me the fuel. - luckily like the Boy Scout I am, I had the VIN to all my vehicles stored in my iPhone contacts. Keep in mind this is only for 15 gallons of fuel. ...now for some reason, they said that watercraft were exempt from the rule - how does that make sense? Dealer told me they...

Thank you! Helpful, I did not know that and it makes sense now.

The premix isnt the main issue. One of the big emission challenges on 2 strokes is short circuiting which is a symptom of the intake and exhaust ports being open at the same time. 4 strokes dont have this issue and as such get a much more controled and complete burn.

Some context: I am looking to buy a new trail bike and since I currently live in CA it makes the most sense access-wise to get a bike with a license plate. Otherwise I'd likely be going with a two stroke. Currently leaning towards a Husqvarna FE350S due to lower weight and more offroadworthiness compared to a Honda and also...

Falcon Liked a reply to forum topic 500 two stroke values and demand on the rise-

5/21/2021 8:56am
Values and demand are on the rise for everything because of the global supply shortage. It won't get any better for a while. CR500s? Yep. PW50s? Yep. RM-Z450s? Yes, even those. Tires, chains, sprockets, spark plugs? Yep. 1/4 and 1/2 ton pickups? Yep. RVs? Yep. Gas grills? Yep. Aluminum siding, drywall, lumber? Yep. Gasoline? Yep. It may not occur to everyone yet, but this is what runaway inflation looks like. I was just barely old enough to see it happen when Jimmy Carter was president in the '70s.

Among many other bikes, ive had 4 250SX models, I have a pretty trashed knee so I picked up a 2020 250xc for the E-start. I had the ECU flashed, adjusted the PV and added a High Comp head to try and make it run more like an SX. It was horrible, and I sold it at 40hrs. If you are thinking you are getting a classic 2t feel with TPI, you are going to be disappointed. In current form they are trash for moto, and honestly everywhere else IMO.

Dang that’s a bummer to hear. I had a chance to try a TPI 300 and had similar thoughts. Dull/flat power with minimal hit and a surprising amount of engine braking. I was hoping that a 250 TPI with the mods you did (ecu, head, PV) would add some excitement and possibly be an awesome do-it-all bike but I guess...
