Contact Dean Dickinson at R&D Racing and get some work done. R&D's history with the little RM's is second to none. First mod is his power valve cover and a mapped ignition... One of the magazines, I want to say it was Dirt Rider did an RM85 build. It was pretty mild, but as I recall, it transformed the bike. Even more could be done... I was at the 1997 Gatorback National. It was amazing watching Emig and MC go at it. Where do you guys think these kids would finish in the 1997 250 class, on their 250fs? Just watching that video reminded me of how good bikes have become. I’m not trying to compare riders, just the machines in the hands of extemely talented riders. May be a stupid question, but I’m an idiot anyway.

Seen this on Instagram.. I noticed it has t-Rex on the bar pad as a reference to that other weird looking t-red mugen bike? 6/3/2021 9:07am 450 XC/EX/FX doesn't have the wide ratio trans. Only 250, 350 and 2 strokes do for some reason.

While on the subject, there should be no such thing as 450 C, if you're a C rider there's no reason to be on a 450. That's one class that can be eliminated to make the day go a little quicker

Sandbagging c was huge in district 37 big 6 because b class raced 1.5 hours instead of 45 min. That changed last year and b is in the 45 minute race, but a c rider still wins sometimes. So the bagging is still present.. I’d guess the kid winning c is a mx rider and realistically a fast b rider

they need to use colored backgrounds for different classes. then you feel cool with the Yellow for B class or Red for A class.. once you can identify a bike/rider based on class i think that would help.. cant look cool with the C class background rolling down the highway..

Our local series eliminated A B and C classes and are running 250 open and 450 open. Was skeptical at first but the racing has turned out to be a lot better with larger gates. Then you still have your true beginner class. It’s too much of a money maker for mx sports and the ama to change anything. Some of these crazy moto parents go all in just for their kid to qualify for C class at Loretta’s.

Simple answer. Figure out what people need, Start your own company and work 24/7 until it is successful. Get someone you trust to run it and then ride dirt bikes 4 days a week, and don’t worry if a bike or a part cost another couple bucks. You’re welcome.

5/23/2021 12:03pm I’m wondering if saving cash is even a good option right now due to the accelerating inflation rate. How to hedge against inflation is something we should all be trying to figure out and I certainly don’t have a good answer. Maybe an MX forum isn’t the best place to ask about this but I’d love to hear some thoughts...
