Yea…but after Jett grabs his helmet his only choice are, despite what anyone says, to do what he did, start punching him(worse for fine and suspension), or loose his manhood and respect of every rider on the track(&fans and everybody watching) and just take it. The third choice is not a real option so I feel Jason did the only thing he should do…despite knowing it would cost him something.

.. or call it whatever the hell you want. But we've established a consistent pattern of early season, open stadium mudders in California (or narrowly avoided disasters thanks only to hercluean efforts to save the track). The last few years have pretty much been a cluster of rain issues in Anaheim, SD, SF, and Oakland. The old days of "we race in CA because of the consistent great weather" are obviously over. How much money can this be costing? To constantly be doing all these "save the track" rain miracles? How many 24 hr days can guys pull on heavy...

I would have thought that as well but everyone that rode on the team seemed to hate the bike untill Kenny, Chiz and the team manager went their. Now everyone seems to love the bike… maybe they got very very very little in the way of guidance from other teams that developed it and needed to start from scratch… which could bode well for a Ducati takeover…

Beta is a good example of how hard it is to develop a bike for pro SX/MX. Pretty plastic and great colors don’t finish/win races. Every time one of the big5 come out with a new design bike it takes an about a half season to get it right, and that’s with established teams working it. I love watching the process play out, it’d be really cool if there was more transparency in the progression though. Triumph, Beta, Ducati all showing up in moto is awesome!

There’s a rumour that Ducati won’t be racing in the US until 2026 anyway, but I think the HEP/Roczen thing makes a ton of sense. They will want to find an existing team to run their racing program in the US and HEP really are the next in line to become a full factory team. They’ve proven themselves to be a race winning effort and capable of having elite riders which Ducati will also want. It works on many levels

The fact that they got Cairoli out of his KTM contract, and especially that they moved Paolo Ciabatti, Ducati Corse sporting director since 2014, to be General Manager of Ducati Corse Off-Road Division, tells you how serious they are about this. What is the favorite part of your job? PC: When we win When Ducati came into GP in 2003 they podiumed at their very first MotoGP race (in Japan of all places!), it took them 6 tries to win a MotoGP race and Capirossi ended their inaugural season 6th in the championship. Obviously off-road is a different world, and...

You sound like the type to suspend a student who sticks up for themselves in a fight. Anderson tried to ride away and got his helmet grabbed, what else was he supposed to do? JT’s opinion on the RacerX Review pod was ridiculous too, talking about how Anderson was over the line with how he grabbed Jett’s helmet. Let’s just ignore the fact that Jett threw a tantrum and started the whole thing. Anderson shouldn’t have gotten any penalty for sticking up for himself.

Anderson tried to ride away. He should not be getting a fine for defending himself. Unless he was fined for something on track that led to the incident?

Ducati always has Showa and Sachs units on base models. The “S” models and up get cool electronics and Öhlins suspension. I would imagine an “S” or “R” model is somewhere in the pipeline.

A desmodromic can do higher rpms (the 800ccm MotoGP Ducati could do 20,500 rpm) and higher valve acceleration than a conventional system (bucket or finger follower). It’s right up there with systems with pneumatic valve spring. So Ducati will have more freedom in that area and will be able to (theoretically) get more power out of the engine. Disadvantage of the system is that it needs more space. The big cylinder head proves that.

It doesn’t have valve springs and the valves are closed mechanically. So it should have a very fast revs and rev higher. No valve float.

You mean when you are watching from home and you hear the crowd go wild, and anxiously wait for the camera to switch to the crash or pass but it never happens? Meanwhile the commentators keep talking about something unrelated and somehow we know from the couch someone passed or crashed but the production team misses it. A wide angle camera would cover it all, and a full race unedited webcam type of video clip could be added as a supplemental feature to peacock in addition to the broadcast.

How about showing the last 8 dudes out still racing instead of showing the winner rolling around after taking the checkers? And then not even bothering to show who made it into the main event (this exact scenario played out after the 1st 250 heat.) We thought Shimoda was headed to the LCQ with his bike upside down and smoking on the last lap of the heat. Turns out he somehow made it in. Sometimes they miss the battles for the last spot in the LCQ, stuff like that. Just consistently lousy production values. Simple changes could make the whole...

I think it's about time you mount a couple of wide angle cameras in the stadium to cover the whole track. It doesn't need to be your expensive production 8K 240fps production cameras with zoom lenses, just some decent wide angle cameras with a fixed lens to capture the whole race track. Then, you can edit all the "off camera" incidents into a highlight reel so we can see what went down. There's no reason why in 2024 we shouldn't know, or be able to see what happened to our favorite riders on the track. Given the small amount of...
