i just bought and installed the Zeta Revolving shifter. Allows four different positions. I wear a size 11 boot and fricken miss shifts all the time as I cant get my boot under it. Hammerhead is 10 mm longer. Zeta is 5mm. 10 is too much for me otherwise I would get the hammerhead. But, zete has up and down too so...

2000 or 2001. 2001 has a higher revving ignition module, 2000 has a Keihin PWK carb, vastly superior to the Mikuni TMX found on '01 models . Either put an '01 ignition (ignition module, stator, rotor) on an '00 or a Keihin PWK on an '02. Be aware that the '01 ignition setup is very pricey. I've ridden/raced 1991,1996, 2000, 2001, and 2003 CR 250s. The 1991 is simply outclassed in every aspect compared to newer models. The 1996, with properly valved suspension, is pretty damn good, but has old school ergonomics, which actually works better for some riders. The...

I had a couple 86s back in the day. Lovely motor and great forks. The 86 was the first Honda with a power valve and cartridge forks. The power valve had to be cleaned often .Like every 5 hrs. At least mine did running mc3 at 30 to 1.Also had an 88. Super smooth motor and handled well. The 87 is regarded as the best of the 80s. I never rode an 87. However they were supposed to be super fast. First year with rear disc as well.

I think the 02-07 was one the best chassis Honda ever built and with some motor work could be made to run much better. The 87 was a great bike as well. The 83 for a not having a PV made great power.
