Elzinga is having a bad season. Broken bones, Epstein-Barr, training injuries, and bike issues have really spoiled his final season in MX2. Rick leading the MX2 race and overall in Lommel last year until a small engine part broke was disappointing. Leading the Swiss GP until the bike broke was more of the same. Top five on the first lap this year in Matterly was positive until the motor gave way once again. All of the bike issues and other stuff going on behind the scenes within that team has apparently taken a toll on the riders. Yamaha of Europe...

Well said. Should be interesting to watch from here. Clearly Prado wants to be gone from Kawi. His comments.. effort.. not cool imo. The rest will be .... a lot of drama. Atty's love drama... they create it intentionally (oh you’re my client – look how hard I m fighting for you!... LOL).. then bill against the reply to the response by the other attorney to the drama they created. Apposing attorney is in on the deal.... Rince and repeat. Over and over... till client is out of money. Or the atty’s feel they “worked the file” long enough to...

Kawaski is a multi-national, multi-billion-dollar company, who advertises ATVs during the Super Bowl. They could have afforded to shit can Prado before this became a dumpster fire and should have. Now with all this drama it leads to the whole bike/ride/team conversation/narrative, that Kawasaki should have avoided at all costs. Imagine Sexton struggles next year, or Prado wins, however unlikely this would be amazingly bad press for Kawasaki. In the long run Prado has cost Kawasaki far more than his salary, for years now people (I am not stating me or anyone reading this, just generally some of the public)...

And I think that is a fair criticism to have. The only thing I would say is we don’t actually know what’s going in the team, how much they are actually helping him or not. We’ve heard ‘they are doing all they can’ but we’ve not heard it from them, and I don’t know what that actually means. On his on track effort, quitting and dropping back to 12-15th is never a good look. But I do think he started the races with the best intentions. He nearly always got a good start and would try to stay there. It’s...

I just prefer the unfiltered versions, riders perspective. MXGP riders are so much more straightforward in general. You can probably say half the MXGP paddock have thrown bikes and teams under the bus if you are that sensitive. Chase is straight fwd, RJ a bit more clear also. There is to much "we" and general statements that gives absolutely no clarity on situations because people are afraid to hurt some feelings. We where in the dark for years with Tomac mysteriously tanking races. People just get offended to much and easy these days.

I'm still so confused on it being held in Darwin during that particular time of the year.. I live in the outback of Australia.. but even Darwin scares me 😂

Could be, but he has to gain ground on two riders instead of one. He has to gain an average of 13 points per GP on Längenfelder, and I don't see that happen. Längenfelder just had a bit of bad luck at Arnhem. The broken wheel on Saturday messed up his entire weekend. Losing points on De Wolf on a sand track is evident and was calculated, believe me. Maybe not that much, that's all. For me, Simon is still the favourite to take the title. Turkey should suit him more as De Wolf.

Last 3 GP are gonna be wild! 3 week-ends in a row, from Turkey to China to Australia, with the jet lag, the heat and the humidity. They have a very hard end to the serie.

You have to admit. Sand races always deliver the goods. If it isn’t for p1 it’s for all the other spots that you see battles. No slot car racing. Lots of passing opportunities. We were there yesterday, in Sweden and Lommel and the atmosphere was amazing at all of those races. The riders will have to adapt in the next...

I see the MXGP fans sticking up for him. If anyone should be put off its them. He's making their series look bad. I'm not dumb though and I realize its just him and the GP guys are bad mfers. Still, that's your series champ out there quitting. I felt like RV did that too we he went out the way he did. So it goes both ways. At least he won a race and was competitive. This is pathetic

Thanks for the info Mattii, but even though I really respect your opinion I will disagree on a few points here. Gajser is the man this moment, so I can see why he was shopping for a deal higher then his current. He has won 5 World Championships (4 of them in the premier class, with one of them in his rookie season) against riders like Herlings, Febvre, Prado, Cairoli, Paulin, Desalle. He still is relatively young and in the prime of his career. Herlings and Febvre have 2, maybe 3, years to go and the only ones I see...

The problem is that riders with the calibre to ride themselves to a 15th-20th place (with the few rare occassions that we have a full starting gate), don't get any money or recognisition. Cornelius Tondel had a 4th place finish last year at Agueda, and he didn't earn shit. So why bother to keep doing GPs? He now attends a few nationals (with a Swedish based team) and actually earned a bit of money doing so. In the ideal world, a privateer qualifying for a GP would mean him that he get's break-even on costs being made. Getting into the...

The entry fee is 300 euro. That isnt an arm and a leg and isnt stopping it. If you are from Lommel it is a 27 hour trip (as in non stop driving). It simply makes no sense for a privateer who isnt doing the full championship (since you dont do the fly-aways) to do races in Finland or Turkey. Just one example of things that have an impact: the dad or friend who joins as your mechanic has to take of a full week off from work due to the travel. That is very doable if you do 3...

But it isn't that simple. Most of these people complaining couldn't run a popsicle stand. Not to mention a motocross series. The Brits are A-class complainers...but don't seem to be able to fix anything.

Oriol Oliver has really improved leaps and bounds since jake Nicholls gave him a touch up to the helmet in that Brit National after they came together. 😀
