He didn’t do a good job explaining it but I think what he was trying to say is because the countries are all so close in Europe you get a melting pot of fans from all over and a lot of them come. When they are in the US you get some international fans but the crowd is largely USA fans.

He's 100% correct, I've had multiple friends go to multiple MXON and they've all told me the same thing, "if you're going to go to one, go to a European one". I know someone on the Australian MXON committee who's gone to every MXON for the last 30+ years who will happily tell you the same. I'm generalising here, but unfortunately a lot of Americans are narrow minded and still believe that everything American is better, just because it's American, and 9/10 it's not. I know I'm going to get crucified for that comment but........facts.

You guys can even see the obvious. If it’s held in Europe, ppl can travel to the even from a dozen countries for under $200. They bring their energy and culture. When in the US, it’s mainly US folks and much less ppl travel here from Europe.

I am fortunate to say I have been to MXdNs on both continents, (Ernee and Red Bud) both were absolutely amazing experiences, but he is right, the atmosphere was better in France. It’s ok, he isn’t saying some great statement about the countries as a whole. Just an event. You can untangle the Panties, it’s just a man’s opinion, he isn’t burning a flag, relax.

I have never been to a US DesNations but a couple in europe along with multiple GP’s in different countrys. And im going on a limb here and guessing that in the US DN’s it’s most American and Canadian fans. I know people that went to RedBud from Sweden but in the big picture i would guess that it’s most american fans with american flags making it look like a regular national. While in europe it becomes a melting pot of fans from more countries that create another atmosphere with different flags around the track for example. I don’t know...

My vote definitly goes to Karlis Reisulis. I would have never expected a season like that from him. I always thought Janis (his younger brother) would have an amazing first 250 season after the speed he showed on the 125 last year, and would shadow his most experienced older brother quickly. In the end, Janis got injured and was off the entire year, and Karlis had some decent EMX250 results before jumping to MX2 midway through the season and showing some top 5 speed, which was definitly unexpected. His sunday at Matterley was great, winning B class on the 250...

Yes to Coenen, after passing de Wolf and others he ate up Vialles lead in no time at all in the qualifyer too, hugely impressive on Sunday putting it to many top 450 guys, unfortunately he's been prone to crashes which ultimately cost him the MX2 championship, he even started off completely on the back foot in Argentina giving a head start to everyone after crashing out of a Moto and had many more smaller mishaps but was quicker than Kay the majority of the time... Insane talent, same goes for Kay but Lucas looks like the next Roczen Laengenfelder...

If I had to pick one it's Karlis Reisulis. Second best MX2 rider after already racing the B-final Sunday morning. Dude raced for like two hours on Sunday. Sounds crazy now, but him, his faster brother and Pauls Jonass could podium or even win one of these events in a couple years

Some riders who don't get a place in the spotlight but I believe do earn it: Kārlis Reišulis, Enzo Lopes, Conrad Mewse, Mikkel Haarup, Julius Mikula.

You missed Simon Laengenfelder who was 3rd basically 95% of the race 2 on 250, just behind Fernandez and Lawrence.

I agree with a lot of things you said, but AP impressed me to be honest. I expected more from Reneaux and Febvre, they usually step up at their MXON performances, Vialle too. Prado seemed like he gave in after Fernandez crashed, he will leave to test SX soon. As a Dutchie, I hoped (and expected) to have Herlings up front with Gajser, Jett and Tomac during the final moto. Matterly is not his greatest track (even though he had that legendary battle with Cairoli a few years back) and I think he was riding a bit tight. Coldenhoff did...

Seewer to Ducati, done. Guadagnini likely to Ducati. Jonass to Kawasaki. Haarup could go to Standing. KRT MX2 team might only be one guy (Valin)

" BS that he couldn't get another chance in the US" I know two or three US teams that wanted him and tried to get in touch. I reached out on behalf of one of them. As an added note, I really like Guillem but everyone who tried to really connect with him from the US side said he was unresponsive. I had a hard time getting answers from him too. I'm bummed for him, he had to have another surgery a little bit ago. I hope he kills it in MX2 next year.

100% spot on. He had his first turn crash at Thunder Valley, nothing he could do there and Star racing dropped him. This year a bike failure and again he was dropped? (Not sure what the backstory is here, maybe they have to due to their economic situation in KTM group). Anyways, glad he has a team. As you said, he can still ride MX2 for a few years and go back to USA afterwards. He now has some SX experience after all - in which he did an amazing job getting top 10s in his first few races

Glad he got on a solid team but that is some BS that he couldn't get another chance in the US. Both his injuries in the last couple years were not his fault. How is Ktm group dropping him just because he broke his femur after their bike broke? Maybe I don't know all the details but that sucks... In the little races he did he did outstanding. Outside of Deegan he's up there with the best rookies in the races he did. Maybe he can return to the US after establishing himself as a top MX2 rider

We thought that with Febvre as well. He was very wild and crashed a lot on the Jacky Martens Husky but look what he did the year after... You just never know. Some guys ride the 450 better and different than the 250.
