The problem is that riders with the calibre to ride themselves to a 15th-20th place (with the few rare occassions that we have a full starting gate), don't get any money or recognisition. Cornelius Tondel had a 4th place finish last year at Agueda, and he didn't earn shit. So why bother to keep doing GPs? He now attends a few nationals (with a Swedish based team) and actually earned a bit of money doing so. In the ideal world, a privateer qualifying for a GP would mean him that he get's break-even on costs being made. Getting into the...

The entry fee is 300 euro. That isnt an arm and a leg and isnt stopping it. If you are from Lommel it is a 27 hour trip (as in non stop driving). It simply makes no sense for a privateer who isnt doing the full championship (since you dont do the fly-aways) to do races in Finland or Turkey. Just one example of things that have an impact: the dad or friend who joins as your mechanic has to take of a full week off from work due to the travel. That is very doable if you do 3...

But it isn't that simple. Most of these people complaining couldn't run a popsicle stand. Not to mention a motocross series. The Brits are A-class complainers...but don't seem to be able to fix anything.

Oriol Oliver has really improved leaps and bounds since jake Nicholls gave him a touch up to the helmet in that Brit National after they came together. 😀

Pauls Jonass, you just have to feel for the guy. Two years in a row he gets injured at Teurtschenthal and therefore not able to ride his home GP.

Aveiro is the best place to book a hotel. Nice little tourist port town with many dining options. You'll like it there. About 35min to the track. We're staying there every year. Some of the teams as well.

There should be an age limit difference (or max nr of years) between EMX 250 and MX2 and it just does'nt make sense that some bikes in EMX are far much better than some bikes in MX2. I bet some riders would do a lot to get on a bike like "little" Reisulis for instance... Put them on stock bikes...

The empty startgates in MX2 show that there is a flaw in the system. Get rid of the redundant EMX250-class and make a qualification race or at least time practice for them (like they do with the separate time practices in MXGP when there are more as 40 entries). The top 15 of EMX250 is fast enough to race the world championship. That way you will get a full starting gate of high quality. Guys like Van Erp are wasting their time in EMX250. Now he's injured once more, so again a season to throw in the dustbin.

Marcel Stauffer should be in MXGP fulltime, time and again he's proven his speed. It'd be interesting to see how he went in the American outdoors too if he ever did it.

Our riders Nilsson, Olsson and Michelis will do Arco this weekend. We do 9 GPs where all 3 riders are racing and then we do another 4 were either one or two riders will enter. In our case the reason not to enter is not the costs to get to Sardegna, but the time to get there. We run this team next to our normal daily jobs. So teammanagement, race mechanics, the mx shop Resa, we all have a full time jobs/businesses. Basically we take time off and help in the team to give 3 riders a shot to each...

From what we heard this weekend no major injuries. Maybe a concussion (not confirmed) because the helmet looked pretty damaged.

They did. Well at least the part that was the worst. They replaced the s-turn in the lower part of the terrain with a big triple. They brought in new dirt (to bury the rocks...). They tried to open it up a bit more. Let's hope it works out this year. I was there at the end of last year...

Marc-Antoine Rossi coached by Joel Smets will be a deadly combinaison. Don't be surprised to see the kid winning GP's once he'll be 100% dialed (he had a ACL surgery and is just back on the bike) by mid-season. Best talent France had for a very long time. Incredibly smooth also. And one more rider who wants to go to the USA ASAP.
