Let's see if Coenen can bounce back. According to him, it was just a bad day. Bad starts and nothing worked. His starts were always one of his strengths this season, but they failed him in Sweden, on a track where starts are crucial. Febvre said a few weeks ago they had to work on his starts, and he got two holeshots. Job done, I guess.

De Wolf has to go 1-1-1 again like he did in Lommel to keep his championship hopes alive.

In Sweden, Coenen's habitual raw speed wasnt there. From the first free practice on saturday to the last moto on sunday. It was not only bad starts, honestly...

Very strange.

Third GP I'll attend this year! Agueda, Lommel, now Arnhem.

Should be a great weekend of racing

It will be my first time in Arnhem. Any track to compare it to? A bit like Valkenswaard?

It's smaller than you may think, I thought the track was really wide before I got there. I think Valkenswaard is a bit more hardpack though.

Make sure you buy a ticket for the grandstands, as it's quite packed and you can see a lot more sitting down there. A ticket for that is 10 EUR extra if I remember correctly. We've bought VIP tickets (Arnhem tent, not the Infront one) with our friend group, so it's a bit different atmosphere for us compared to Lommel for example.

Paddock is small as well, every meter is used to get all the riders and trucks on there.

And be prepared for horrendous traffic from the track. I attended last year and i think we were stuck for 2 hours in the parking field.

I've no idea why riders don't say when they're injured. He was clearly not himself in Sweden, and now we know why.

He was missing all his lines where I was sitting in the bottom turn of the track where Gifting made his famous passes. His rear suspension was way off in the rear and just kicked up on the brutal braking bumps, he couldn’t hold the inside lines like everyone else was using.

He was clearly very frustrated several times during timed timed training when he/slower riders screwed up fast laps.

I'm wondering if there is an injury in the Reisulis camp. Janis does not seems as dominant as before, and he fades quite a lot at the end.

Yeah he was 16th on the first lap, got up to 12th mid race, crashed on lap 10 and dropped back to 16th. He should be doing better in sand.

Thanks Elliot. Calvin grew up racing in the deep sand at Melkbos here in Cape Town. I always expect a podium from Calvin anytime the GPs hit a sandy track.

Here's hoping he gets a couple of decent starts today.
