Febvre never gives up! Shame he had that small tip over

Yeah! I really thought Febvre got this race covered. He was so much faster in qualifying race, but track changed a little bit, Gajser learned few lines from him, never gave up and in the end passed him in first race.

Too bad Febvre and Gajser didn't both start in the front, it would be an awesome second race!

I have to say that the racing this year is amazing, both MXGP and MX2. Hope everybody stay healthy!

He rode very well

Geerts second moto ride was strong, as was his first moto before the last lap tip over.

The big surprise of the week-end in Arco, without any discussion!

Another one with AC - looks like he's up for a few races, including the USA .

Seems like his voice is a bit worn out - understandable with the demands he probably had made on him at this GP.

With this, you'll see other interviews off to the side of YT - Maclellan (sp?) being one, for our venerable Boomslang here.

For a few reasons I was a little bit worried about the GPs this year but they've been sick!

Especially the 250s.. Incredible racing!

This weekend was no exception! Large Coenen looks really good on a 450 and the little shit that DeWolf does is a great watch..

They all seem to do a lot of little hops and bops over braking bumps and shit and I assume it's them adopting more of a 'sand track' method or maybe they're watching Jett.. Either way it rules

Good for Lotte, racing MX2 is no joke especially with the unfounded criticism she surely has received.

She did far from bad and I respect her as a person and as a racer, but I think it's a bit strange that someone who participates in a GP calls it "a training weekend". Imagine someone suddenly entering a Formula 1 or MotoGP-race among the regulars just "to train" and getting lapped twice doing so.

She's absolutely the best in WMX-class, but has no business in the MX2 World Championship on such a track. When will InFront finally only let riders participate who have proven themselves in the EMX250? Now there are riders in MX2-class who can't even qualify for the EMX250 races.

Is she allowed to race EMX250? Forgive my ignorance. That would be a better fit IMO.

Yes, she is. But she wouldn't have qualified, so here weekend would've ended on Saturday afternoon.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming her. She just takes advantage of the system as it's set right now, just like some others are doing or have done before. But in the core, the system isn't right.

Unless you put a cap on nr of seasons in emx250 nothing will change because the riders prefer to do emx250 over mx2. The numbers show it.

I think there is a group of riders in Europe above 23 years of age who dont have the speed for mxgp but do have the speed for some wildcards in mx2. Maybe Infront should get rid of the age limit in mx2 and try to get those riders in mx2

Great race, enjoyed watching it, or the MXGP class anyway I’ll catch the Mx2 later.

The empty startgates in MX2 show that there is a flaw in the system. Get rid of the redundant EMX250-class and make a qualification race or at least time practice for them (like they do with the separate time practices in MXGP when there are more as 40 entries). The top 15 of EMX250 is fast enough to race the world championship. That way you will get a full starting gate of high quality.

Guys like Van Erp are wasting their time in EMX250. Now he's injured once more, so again a season to throw in the dustbin.

i think Infront really likes to keep the EMX250 class, which i understand because i feel 1 or maybe 2 years in EMX250 helps in development.

Imo the options are:

* Keep it like it is

* Get rid of EMX250

* Remove the age limit in MX2

* Add another limit to EMX250 (age lower, max nr. of years, etc.)

* Get the oems to put their junior budget not in EMX250 but in MX2.

Removing the EMX250 will solve nothing and will force those riders to ride national series like the French elite / German ADAC competitions.

The top teams and front-runners in EMX250 can't afford a full MX2 season and there are barely any satellite / private teams left in MX2.

The real issue is the season length, running costs of the 250F and overseas races that are unaffordable that even some factory efforts call it quits or are barely making it. Solve that and remove the age-limit in MX2.

Infront really likes to keep the EMX250 class because it's a cashcow. "The step-up to MX2-class" is promotion talk, nothing more.

There should be an age limit difference (or max nr of years) between EMX 250 and MX2 and it just does'nt make sense that some bikes in EMX are far much better than some bikes in MX2. I bet some riders would do a lot to get on a bike like "little" Reisulis for instance... Put them on  stock bikes. No factory specs.

Is EMX 250 entry fee cheaper then MX2??

Great cashcow 🤣

The EMX250 class yielded a wopping 135.900 euro's in revenue (not profit!!!) from entry-fees last year. Any average small business generates more revenue so that's really a non-argument.

I think the people who complain about the field sizes are a bit nostalgic about times that aren't coming back. The costs increased a lot and the sport developed to a very professional level. The racing has been great in both MX2 and MXGP and for 2026 we will see 3 extra factory seats where IceOne will add another MX2 seat and Ducati appointed Beddini Racing as their official MX2 effort which will field another 2.

The OEM's encourage the EMX125 & EMX250 classes because it's perfect for them to spot talent and that's why Yamaha, Kawasaki, Triumph, TM, KTM, Husqvarna & Gas Gas have efforts where young riders can learn and develop which doesn't come with the costs of supporting a satellite team in MX2. Is it perfect? no for sure not especially with 13! european rounds this year. But it's a stepping-stone for a lot of young riders that can't compete in MX2.

For comparison as a privateer you ride EMX250 for between 70.000 and 125.000 euro's and MX2 will set you back at least 450.000 euro's. (a 2 rider factory team budgets 1.5 million euro's) If you want to increase the field size back to 30 or even 40 riders in MX2 you need to lower the costs which means less races, less overseas races and regulations regarding electronics and factory gearboxes, EMX250 has really nothing to do with that.

It's 300,00 and wildcard entries MX2 also pay 300,00
