I already envision Marchbanks and Mookie - the M&M team - having career years on the " new improved" Kawasaki, and Chase struggling on another bike/team that is presumably born bad.

a PRMX/Yamaha Factory bike/parts deal is what he seems to be hinting at as well, but it all sounds a bit "I dont know man" to me.

A little food for thought on this, Kawasaki just hired a mechanic away from pc to work for Mookie. I asked him why don’t they move over Montoya for him, he said because he will be with Chase next year. I said are you sure, he said as far as he knew.

In Gypsy tales with Febvre they talk a little about the Kawi situation with Prado. Febvre & Prado aren’t friends but just talking about his thoughts on it. He doesn’t seem to know much about the US spec bike but he did think his is quite a bit different. Sounded to me like Prado rode the euro spec bike then when he got to America he’s like this is not what I rode , make it like that & they just couldn’t get it there. Been a while since I listened ^^

Kawasaki was not negotiating from a position of strength, doubt they had much choice on giving Malcolm 2 years if they wanted to sign him. Chase to KTM is an easy sell. KTM admits they had shock issues, which was nearly all of his issue there, and fills the void left by losing two fan favorites for two foreigners. Chase admits the grass wasn't greener elsewhere and shows some humility, signs bonus heavy deal, they kiss and make up. Deegan is the GOAT

That was a great series of races yesterday and the venue lived up to what SMX is supposed to be. A bunch of haters on SMX but it has delivered good racing over the past years and I still think it has relevance as long as they can continue to upgrade the venues. That last 450 moto was a banger and congrats to Prado-a generational turn around, amazing. Deegan was also incredibly fast. Congrats to Levi as well-good for him.

As the old saying goes two things can be true at once. He didn’t like the bike and he gave up. While there is no excuse for a high paid athlete to give up, he did ride awesome this season! You don’t have to fall completely on one side or the other.

Factory level expectations for Mookie are probably not what they are for Chase. And that's not an unusual dynamic for a factory team. One thing Mookie has done that a lot of fifth to tenth place guys haven't is win a race by being the fastest guy on track. Not holeshot and run away, and not in triple crown format, but pass the top guys to take the win in a regular race format.

Somewhat new 2027 KX450 coming as well. Not a lot of changes, but hopefully just enough to make a positive step forward Sexton and Marchbanks.

I honestly don't know what the rationale was with giving Malcolm a 2 year contract. We've seen every 250 rider move up outperform the older 450 guys, even though those that moved up have been worse than a lot of the 250 riders they raced against. Results from last night, RJ, Marchbanks, and Smith all comfortably in top 10 and these 3 were I would say worse than Jo and Levi. We also saw several stay competitive with Deegan in many races (Jo was one of the few who could match up Deegan at times in outdoors), whereas in 450s...
