It’s not over till it’s over but if Sasha and Lucas both nuke their championships by the time the weekend is over are they still coming ?? Why wouldn’t KTM ask them to at least try another year for a MXGP and MX2 title (and that could take multiple years in reality) and all the sponsors stay happy in terms of gear and whatnot and KTM saves themselves a headache of having a star studded US team and a talent gap back in MXGP…

They have to make up their own arguments to make them feel better I guess. I have already said, weeks ago, Deegan can win, but it would take both the brothers probably making mistakes which is unlikely to happen at the same time in a single race. But yes, he is clearly getting better and so are the brothers. Long way to go.

My immediate reaction was that he accelerated and probably should've/would've dropped behind Deegan if he had rolled off. It's a harsh penalty but it's consistent with the letter of the law and what we've been seeing this season
