you can buy a rear flat track tire for your bike. Run everything else stock. I used to run my 450 like that in the amateur class at a TT in PA. Bike worked fine with that set up.

Ditch the 927 for a synthetic or semi synthetic oil. It is not a clean burner oil. I ran it for a while and the switch to Lucas. A lot less carbon. The 927 also carbon seized the ring to a piston on a few chainsaws. Not anymore since I switched oils. I miss the smell of the 927

I own a few Beta Trials bikes it can take over a month to get parts. I would go with a KTM or Husky.

most likely clogged jet in carb or valve adjustment. If wasn't started after rebuild I would check cam timing. sounds like it is not getting fuel if it fired with starting fluid.

I have used uship to ship equipment multiple times. Never had a problem with a shipment. You will receive drivers contact info. Just check reviews of the people bidding on shipment.

Don't buy the Harbor Freight hauler. I know a guy that mounted one on the front of his motorhome. The hauler broke and he ran over his bike.

Pull the flywheel and check if the key sheared off. Sometimes the key gets damaged from the motor locking up and shears off later. This will let your flywheel move on the crankshaft and the bike will be out of time.

If your forks feel stiff in the initial stroke it is most likely not enough oil. This causes the bike to ride too low in the stroke giving a rough ride. I would add 15cc of oil, if it feels better slowly add more.

When you find metal chunks in your oil find the problem before riding again. You will most likely be replacing all the bearings in the transmission now. I had the stopper come apart in my 125 in the beginning of a 120 mile endure. I had to replace every bearing in the motor and most of the transmission gears.
