She’s right. They’re both bad.
Come back from commercial break before 450 heat 1 to see the dozer rolling off the whoops, RC and Ralph discuss it. Race starts, on first lap as riders are coming over the finish line jump, Ralph says something like “and now we get to see how rolled down these whoops are now.” I’m thinking “a bit early there Ralph, those dont come up for a few sections,” assuming he’s just made the mistake of forgetting where they are on the track but will realize it when he sees them. Then as the riders go down the choppy straight before the turn after the finish line, I hear from Ralph “wow those whoops are really smoothed out.” He saw that straight and genuinely thought it was just whoops that had been rolled over. Forgetting that it’s the completely wrong section of the track, I actually laughed to myself at the idea that the play by play guy for the sport could somehow think what he was seeing on screen were smoothed out whoops
BTW, I think the goal is to speak a bit to people familiar with SX while entertaining and educating new fans that are giving it a look.
He’s so awkward and embarrassing
Pit Row
Sure loves the Seven Deuce Deuce, though.
Which was nice, because my eyes were also bleeding from the show director once again choosing to show :30-40 seconds of a rider who crashed on the first lap, and is sitting off-track staring at his downed machine, instead of you know, sticking with the action on the most action packed lap of the race: LAP ONE. (this happened more than once last night)
Or having the cameras following the 6th place rider, who's all alone, instead of the developing battle for a podium spot up ahead.
No please, I like watching the boring stuff, who wants to see the action?
Once again, masterful show calling.
"And here goes Roczen takin the first heat of the night....soon".
Do you guys all sit in front of the TV set and think about things to bitch about? Is this the cry baby thread of machoism next day keyboard commentators?
RC does a superb job and Ralph does great. I have a suggestion for all of you, turn the volume off if you don’t like it.
