Marty Smith, Hangtown 1974, but then again it was the first-ever 125 National! Brad Lackey also won his first outdoor national, 1972 Cal Expo 500 National. Carry on. DC Racer X
He melted down in the Texas heat in the second moto at Freestone (second round) and wasn't the same for the rest of that summer... DC Racer X
Sorry, I’m on a plane ride to Iowa for Justin Brayton’s race and checked Vital. Sorry for answering Broseph’s comment about me not posting by posting a comment. I really have been busy. DC Racer X
No, Broseph, I've just been busy working on the many, many other things that come with producing a series, but I understand your assumption. The MAVTV+ live deal is good for 45 of the 48 motos, at $6.99 a month, anywhere in the world where you can also ... more »
If you scroll down in the comments someone writes: "Msged you directly after turning on the 8pm local fox12 news since I recognized the rig emptied and crashed in some live news footage since it was just used in another crime. Sorry man!" It happened ... more »
I gave you the thumbs-up Mark. Never say never on anything... DC Racer X
Alas, they did not. And they hit Indiana hard too, which is where the GNCC is headed this weekend--if they can drain the place first. DC Racer X
First of all, he hasn't requested it, that I know of. Second of all, somebody earned #84 for 2022, and the AMA has rules in place. In the case of #222, the number was requested, not earned, and the rider was okay with sharing it for however long Cairoli ... more »
No, Herlings would not be #84 if he came, that number was assigned for 2022 based on 2021 points and is not transferable. Herlings used #784 the last time he was here. In the case of Dungey #5 was open and the AMA felt that they would make an exception ... more »
Thanks, but I was actually invited by James to come visit and be on the show. It was a great afternoon of bench-racing with @therealjs7! DC Racer X
KTM asked the AMA if he could be #5 since no one has grabbed it since he retired, and they were cool with it. DC Racer X
I'm sure they will have it as close as they can get to what will be the national track, like they did last year, but there is the possibility of making some changes (which they also did last year). DC Racer X
I believe the rule is 72 hours before the race, unless it's part of press day or an open ride for all competitors. We've done this the past few years on Tuesday before the opener to help everyone transition from SX to MX and do it on the track without ... more »
And if you're pre-entered for Pala there will be a private ride day there for all pre-entered pros on Tuesday before the opener. DC Racer X
Zycki, I was thinking the exact same thing. He really deserved one too! Great ride. DC Racer X
If you're looking for a little motocross history break to go with tonight's St. Louis Supercross, our MAVTV+ 50-Day Countdown to the 2022 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross opener began this morning, looking back at 1972 and how it became the first AMA National ... more »

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3jZUYlrPJc&t=21s I think this is the track that is supposed to hold the 2023 FIM Junior World Championships. It's in Bucha, which has seen the worst of it. I can't imagine what it looks like now... DC Racer X
I wish we could let Evgeny race but the FIM has followed the lead of the FIA, the IOC, and many other international sporting associations in restricting the participation of Russian athletes in competition. The AMA, AMA Pro Racing and FIM North America ... more »
Man, you got me there... I don't recall. Maybe "YZitterkopf"? DC Racer X
Trust me, I don't have any hurt feelings about this, Mark. I just don't want to make the same mistake three times.
But we were just trying to see if it was possible to have a Glen Helen round, just not a contract with Bud as the promoter. Remember, he has a habit of tearing those things them up. Myron and Lori tried to work it out but they apparently could not. I am sure your strong posts here have only helped move things along.
Should I just post the video of what Bud did to Eli Tomac on the podium after the last national there? You're in the video too, Mr. Info, but not out on the track pointing the riders back around in circles like you were supposed to. I was the only one out doing that after the last moto.
