My wife is gone for the weekend to spend time with her sister, so I have a weekend with no honey dos and some killer left over twice backed mac and cheese in the fridge.

If that isn't a left over deal I don't know what is.

Actually going to spend the rest of the weekend with @ccullins76 at the Beta Try Trials clinic here in Montana.

Going to be a hoot!!

And then a mad scramble to get all the honey do's done and then some before a new trials bike shows up in the shop late Spring...

Where are you? Manufacturer rebates sometimes vary by sales district depending on the % and # of leftover units. Heavier overstock will draw a stronger rebate than a district with good inventory levels.

I don't know if this is true but I just saw this on Facebook Market Place here in Georgia. $6500 with all the extra charges included. Sounds like a steal on a 2026 KX450.

I saw a '26 KX250 for $6650 plus tax in Indiana. GasGas has rebates plus 0.99% for 60 months. KTM/Husky are running smaller rebates plus 2.99% for 60 months.

That is the case.  They consistently advertise these rock bottom prices, but when you get a little deeper, it's approximately 2K more otd (not factoring taxes either).

Nope.  The ad says price EXCLUDES freight, setup, doc, bend you over fee…

How wants to buy the bike Sexton rejected?

You talking about the Honda, the KTM, or the Kawasaki?  He rejected all three at one time or another.

That’s awesome! However it’ll be with my son Cole, he’s the Beta trials manager now.

speaking of deals though, we’ll be selling those bikes at great prices in Dec!

Lots of posts in here about leftover Kawis. I would stay away from the Kawis based upon my one and only experience purchasing a leftover model year. Bought a 2018 450 new off the showroom floor in 2019. Got the bike home and it wouldn't stop chugging huge plumes of white smoke anytime it ran. Called Kawi and the dealer and was told that it was "just the cosmoline burning off go ride it and it will stop" in 30 years of riding I had never seen anything like that in my life and neither had any of my riding buddies.  There was no way I was taking a bike that looked like a steam train from the 1850s to the track to either grenade the engine or send me over the bars. They finally tore it down and confirmed there was motor oil in the exhaust and the gave me the other 2018 on the floor and took back the old one. The second one was fine, bike handled well, and was enjoyable to ride, but I'll never buy another Kawi again. Long story short, leftover Kawi deals aren't worth it bc their quality is terrible.

I disagree. I think that a 26 kx 450 otd for $6599.00 is a great deal.

If you want to gamble with Kawasaki quality control issues then more power to you. They have good deals and the bikes generally have a great neutral profile. I just can't justify another purchase from them when the brand new bike I bought was burning oil off the floor. Took a month of back and forth and hours on the phone to resolve the issue. We put a lot of faith in these manufacturers that the bikes they sell will perform as expected because if they don't it may put you in the hospital. There is just no reason for me to give Kawi another shot after that first experience.

I'd buy a chinese bike before I got another KX.

I did a local race last weekend in northeastern Czech Republic and some dude had a ZXMoto MX250. I think these are projected to be about $6000 in the US.

Possibly KTM's most popular bike next to the kids models, sure. Deals on those.
They will give you an orange mug that says KTM on it.

That's the deal.

I’ve seen them 1500 off or more before so it’s not as rare as you think.

definitely more likely to get a deal on a 300SX than a XC or XC-W but even still they will only discount them so much woods guys still buy them and put a tank and wheels on it and its an awesome woods race bike.

From a sample size of 1 it's easy to extrapolate a quality issue when the part that broke is out of stock (because everyone else needs the same part).

That isn't what he was describing, but in your scenario the 'sample size' would be much, much higher (and adverse selection would probably come into play).
