I was listening to Blair’s Patreon show this morning and the story they said they heard yesterday was that Webb went into the trailer and told Deegan basically what he said in his interview, how was going to make sure he won’t win next weekend, and Deegan jumped up and said something like “well won’t don’t we settle it right now?” So Webb hit him and Deegan’s security guard (not his UFC friend) grabbed Webb and restrained him with his hands/arms behind his back. While he was being held and pulled away, Deegan hit him back while the security guard basically shuffled Webb out of the lounge.
Wild if true…
They also said Webb and Deegan had a conversation with each other in the parking lot at the end of the night on the way out.

There are clauses in most riders contracts for just this type of thing...hurting the team or riders type of dealio. Normally, A LOT of leeway is given. But, given what Webb said, he's probably on a real short leash. Yeah, they'll bench him if he screws around during practice or qualifying. During the race it could be an entirely different deal.

Because sh*t happens. Deegan is Yamahas golden boy...Webb is worth less than last years newspaper to the team at this point. I wouldn't be surprised if Webb isnt sitting at home this weekend. I hope he is racing for sure. I like Webb. Plus, it would make for some real fireworks...lol.

At a practice track yes. At the SuperduperMotocross race, no.
Why not? A lot of money to be had at that race. Even if he gets 10 overall would be better than zero.

No he won't be on a Husky. He's under a Yamaha contract. If Star says he's not riding...he's not riding period.
I'm not picking sides in this fight but weren't the majority of you guys on here last week proclaiming Blair as Kooksey II....and I'm not saying this is you but I can guarantee that many who lambasted Blair last week will now proclaim him as the voice of truth...🤷♂️
Total gut feeling but I will not be at all surprised if someone other than webb takes Deegan out. You really think RJ or someone like that won't take a shot if they have the chance? There's not another rider on that track that wouldn't rather see almost anyone other than Deegan do well.
And were you taken out by someone who rode to the races with you and someone you routinely practice with that you thought you could trust to not take you out for absolutely no reason? Apples to oranges.

I don’t think it’d be quite that easy. If they bench him ‘for cause’, he’d still be under contract with Yamaha/Star.
If Star truly wanted to ‘bench’ him, their easiest option is to get his bike through tech inspection, then just before first practice cause a couple of wires to get rubbed through their casings….
I think he’d still get into the motos, but they could come up with a different electrical/mechanical issue before the first moto.
Not advocating for that to happen, but I could definitely understand Star wanting to keep him from taking Deegan out.
Webb should have acted like nothing happened, then whispered what he said to Deegan just before the start of Moto 1. How big of a mind phuck would that be???
I'm almost hoping Star does bench him so he holds the grudge for longer and makes sure Deegan doesn't win anything as long as he's there, let alone SMX
And webb could quit tomorrow and be dialed for this weekend.... we will see... but I just don't see webb not racing.... feld/ama could ground him, but they hate the cringe lord camp so I don't see that happening...
If Webb were to quit Star tomorrow, ride the Husky Saturday, AND somehow take out Deegan, Star would have very little difficulty winning a suit against him after he announced his plans last weekend.

...from a legal standpoint, YMUS and Star would be exposing themselves to liability by denying a contracted team rider the equipment to fulfill his contract, as Webb stands to lose a significant amount of purse money if they don't provide a motorcycle and support at the final round.
I believe that team conduct in the pits is governed by AMA pro racing, and so far not a word from them as of today (Monday).
IMO Mr. Regan is a veteran businessman - he and Yamaha would not do something that foolish...
I don't trust anyone that wore LBZ.
