It wasn't a secret plan between the bothers. I think it was Jett doing what humans do, emotions get involved, it's his brother. Maybe after seeing the heart break after supercross, then seeing him throw it away at unadilla, and then seeing him stuck under deegans bike influenced his mental state and decisions.... Maybe he felt he lucked into it, and wanted to give his brother something he thought he deserved.

It doesn't mean this shit was planned. 

Who TF knows what went on inside his head. None of us will ever know. Maybe he was hurt, maybe he wasn't. But it's most definitely not outside of the realm of possibility after what we saw today 

Jett getting passed by 18th place... Poking around... Then comes out second moto and is magically healed is just a bit of an eye brow raiser 

Absolutely insane that people think Jett threw away a 450 national championship just so his brother could win one. 

It's all very simple to understand, guys. Jett looks up to his older brother and felt bad for all the things that have happened to him this year. 

Jett wanted Hunter to win more than he wanted to win. It made him feel great that Hunter won the title. You could literally see it on Jett's face.

If you have an older brother you look up to and have plenty of 'titles' sitting on the shelf and millions of dollars, this makes a lot of sense.

HLaws crash didn't matter due to JLaws poor start. He prob shat his own pants when he saw bro on the ground and realized he was really going to have to s¥€k now to give bro a leg up. Even the waiting for bro to make a race of it theory is redonculous.

One of the worst cases of questionable sportsmanship I have seen in MX since the Roczen wave by. The fact that it is such a "grey" matter is bad enough without any "proof".

I think all of these young men racing are awesome athletes. What they do on those bikes is amazing. They are all talented, skilled and intelligent. Intelligence is not wisdom though. I hope lessons are learned and we don't see this shat anymore.

Hunter gets this one, Jett gets the SMX title, they both get a million bucks and everyone’s happy. Not insane to envision at all.

You have no idea how close these two are. Jett took the high road,  but read the map wrong and it was actually the low road 

Congrats to team Lawrence on earning a 2nd champion winner salary. They really earned the raise after that performance.

Then why didn’t Jett let up and let Hunter win SMX last year? That was so close that it would make it impossible to tell. 
last weekend Jett got a bad start in the mud when way up on points. Was he tanking that start too?  Must have. 
Did he fake a hurt ankle all SX season so he wouldn’t have to compete with Hunter? Did he practice limping for sympathy? We need the truth!

Seriously so many people are projecting their lack of integrity on the bros. It ain’t that way.

While watching the first 450 moto you thought to yourself—> all looks normal, nothing unusual going on? “Nothing to see here..”

Right here is one of the biggest problems in these situations: Misinformation. Most people just glance thru here and take it as the gospel, and then it becomes an easy way for even more people to start piling on and believing it when they read something like that and go "See! There's even more proof, tell me how THAT'S possible?!?"  

Jett did NOT "lay down the fastest lap of the moto". He laid down HIS fastest lap of the moto! Huge difference (to the tune of almost four and a half seconds off Prado's fastest lap, and a full second or more slower than everyone else ahead of him in the top 10 except for Jordon Smith)

 Conspiracy theories take shape really quick when people might not know the facts, don't know where to find the facts, or are just too lazy to look it up themselves. I'm not accusing you or anyone in particular btw, just saying that misinformation like this throws fuel on the fire really quick, especially when most are just casually bench racing about a subject like this, (which btw as someone else mentioned, is calling a certain rider's integrity into question)

Hunter really stepped up his speed this year & the MX title was almost in his grasp until that slide down the Screw U at 'dilla. After the SX heartbreak he was on a mission this Summer. 

It was also blatantly obvious at Budds and Ironman that Jett wasn't going to get in the way of big bro winning this one. I said to my son 2 weeks ago that Jett is going to have issues at Budds Creek & Hunter will gain his points back. The crash in Moto 1 today threw a spanner in their plan, because Jett could have stayed right behind him & it never would have been questioned.

It was actually entertaining to listen to the crew try to call this & add excitement to the races. "What you see happening isn't really happening". Then we have JT suddenly trying to sound like a Cambridge English Major with his input. 

I'm happy for the Lawrence family & really glad Hunta got the chip. SMX rounds will be a lot of fun.

I love this sport. This event was a highlight of the year for me.

The amount of people wearing tin foil hats is wild! Not everything is a conspiracy! Hunta was a better rider this summer, Jett wasn’t 100% for it, and Jett dabbed his leg moto 1. The better rider won the title! 

Happy for Hunter, well earned and deserved.  Sucks that Jett got hurt, but that's what happens eventually when you "drop your heals".  Took out Tomac as well as many other riders.  Not a matter of if, but when you get injured dropping your heals.  i used to do it.....until I blew out both ankles.  No more for me.

Can’t believe Jett let big bro just have the championship!!! Wow. I mean I get it, family is family but still, sportsmanship is lacking these days.

There's zero chance Jett rolled over. Zero. Not the way any of these guys are wired and it doesn't even make sense to do it that way if you wanted to. 

As soon as I heard them talk about taking the ankle saver peg off I knew he was in trouble. Not a great idea to ask his foot to handle more range of motion than you've asked it to for the last two months. Almost guaranteed to be in pain when you do that. Jett looked today on the bike exactly like he did at the beginning of the year when he could barely walk. 

Beyond that, if you were going to throw the race, you don't ride around half speed, you crash, stall the bike, crash again, etc.... If Jett wanted to hand his brother the championship without suspicion, you go out and ride your ass off and put yourself on the ground and let everyone think you just pushed too hard racing for a championship. 

So for all the geniuses who believe Jett actually threw this race, explain this to me.

Why would he even go out for moto 2?  He’s hurt in moto 1, has a perfect excuse to not go out for moto 2 and take all the heat off of himself without losing second in the championship, but instead he still went out at 60% and tried to make it happen anyways in a last ditch effort.  Why would he do that if he wasn’t actually trying to win?  Had he not gone out for moto 2 nobody would even be questioning the severity of the injury, this entire theory that he hatched an elaborate scheme to let Hunter win is absolutely ridiculous.
