On a side note.
Guy my dad knew went to an Army disposal auction to buy some trucks to convert to recovery/forestry use here in the UK.
Bid on the first 3 or 4 that came up that were the nicest ones and didnt get them, but ended up getting 2 that he had briefly looked at, that would still do the job.
Went to collect after payment, and one had 10 bikes in the back, and 3 generators.
He went to tell the auctioneer and he said 'sold as is'. And all the paperwork as it was for the bikes was in the doc wallet for the truck.
The two in the back... I had to lay 'em down. The one in the front is perfect, though. It has a brown powerband.
New clutch before I stored it.
Is it still for sale ?
Will run. Just needs to have the carb cleaned.
I bought a bike from a guy that had a military hummer he bought at from a government auction web site. It was listed as non-running. He paid $5k for it. All it needed was a battery.
Original tires, look the nibs are still on them!
Not a good selling point for me. Never raced also probably means never maintained.
