Massive Eli fan here...but I'd love to see him do a parade lap in Colorado and waive the crowd goodbye to an amazing career. That Pala crash was too close to being the big one. We all know he's a badass.

Weird. 

I just don't want to see the guy hurt any worse than he's already been these last few years.

Agreed.... dood has given more than his fair share... time to raise some kids, fix some fences, and live the good life... he's earned it...

Made Dungey’s decision, wouldn’t blame him. Hate to be the last couple races the way he goes out but rather he enjoy the rewards for all his hard work in a healthy state.

Any updates out there? I can’t find any. 

I would guess Tomac is having doubts right now but I think as soon as his body stops hurting he's going to keep racing. The guy can still win races. Whatever he chooses, it's been fantastic watching him race and win championships

So strange we haven’t gotten any update. They’re usually super open about his health status 🤣. Joking aside hope he’s good and if he does indeed to hang it up it’s been a helluva good time watching him over the years when he was on. Never saw anyone ride like they were trying to punish the track like him. 

Hopefully their just holding off on a PR cause he feels like he might be able to get back this weekend still... Hopefully... gutted for the guy, what a shitty start to the season. First lap of the first race. Cant believe it.

I feel like he will still race, but I wouldn't judge him any less if he chose to hang it up. The guy is an animal. But, knowing how he is, i feel like hes going to finish this season MX and just do SX and SMX next year

Honestly thought he was done when his Achilles snapped so everything since then I've looked at as a bonus. Every race he throws a leg over is better for it, and I would've loved to see him rip the KTM in TGO, but it's been tough seeing him get hurt so much lately. I want him to make the best decision for him and his family, and whatever he and his family determine that to be, he has my approval and appreciation. Gnarly dude and one of the best ever on and off the track. 

Just don't ask him about his Porsche.

That was the weirdest reaction on that Pulp episode lol.  Caught me off guard like a mofo.

After seeing the back of his head touch his shoulder blades, I’d be happy to see him walk away healthy and happy.  Hes proven all there is to prove and then some.

Swapmoto, Monday kickstart said they spoke with the team and got an update. There is a neck muscle tear.

Dude was riding two days after SLC, I'd say if he isn't to bad off he will try to make hangtown, im guessing that is why no press release yet.

Depends on the grade of the tear? Sucks but thankfully not worse!

Has anyone addressed why the visor on Eli's Bell helmet served as a backhoe instead of snapping off like it's supposed to?  That could've made a huge difference in the severity of this injury.  WTF Bell, see A-stars for design consulting please.

That has bothered me and I’ve thought about it like 6 times since I saw a picture of it shoveling dirt like that. 

Makes me really think about my own lid setup. 

I still can’t believe that happened. That championship was pretty much in the bag and somehow without even tipping over it was all gone in a flash

I’m pretty sure he just said he didn’t want to talk about his personal belongings on a public show. Definitely odd but I can understand why.

I sprained my neck badly flipping a 3 wheeler.
