Even if you are/were sick...or even an injury...or the bike setup is wrong...you are leading the series points, and you literally just pull over and let Webb go by? Love Eli and root for him, but I just don't get it.

You could see him fighting when he tried to ride with a broken leg and finished 17th or whatever. Dude was blitzing whoops with one leg

He was better on the Yamaha, everyone gets excited about hard pack front traction on the KTM, but track to track and across different dirt the Yamaha is hard to beat. Look at J-Coop lately, he's got that new chassis figured out! 

I find it hard to blame the bike when Prado is fastest qualifier.. I get they like a different setup, but is Tomac ever that much slower than everyone?

I think Tomac and Roczen would both rather win the championship and not get paid than deliberately lose and still not get paid

I had a similar experience. Knocked a small piece of my front tooth out, more like I cracked it. But it was sitting still.

Over 2 years of feeling like I had fever, but no actual fever. 2 lumbar puncture tests where of one showed 4x higher NFL. Multipel doctors and specialist involved.

When dentist removed the tooth after me hitting it again after 2 years, they concluded I had a micro infection since first impact and close to brain it gives all kinds of strange effects.

Disappeared when tooth was replaced.

One thing I can tell you 100% is that his sponsors do not share the same sentiment. Will they turn a blind eye to some things because of what he brings to the table as a package? sure. But they want him to maximize their exposure and desire for their product no matter his age.

Seemed just fine at Daytona, the epitome of soft and rutty supercross. 

Only a guess. Testing indicates he is searching for something? Current KTM chassis is very front wheel bias so again just a guess?

Back to an illness thought. Maybe he got sick, started getting better, the family got sick and he wants to be away from them until they get better. Hense, going to Ca to test. Just a thought. I'd love to see these three (3,94,96) rotating podium positions through SLC.

1. shock related, why he slows halfway

2. injury, pain meds wear off.  most logical

I was thinking something similar. I guess that could explain the new suspension components that he supposedly had at the last round. I have no inside knowledge, just speculation. I’ve seen a few mentions of a possible practice crash but who knows.

I withhold my thought that it’s bike setup causing arm pump like earlier. I hope he has it figured out and that both Ken and Hunter are also on top today!!

He basically said (paraphrasing), "Glad to be back on the harder-packed tracks and off the rut-o-cross."

If I'm guessing, at this point, he is scared of the ruts from his Achilles injury and is extra cautious in those types of conditions. 

I feel like Tomac has been great in the harder pack stuff on that KTM. 
I think the steel frame was a different feel for him on the deeper stuff (Daytona excluded cause he owns that place). Nashville being harder pack and he’s lookin quicker. 

Either way stoked to see him back in the mix! 

If his issue was just not being comfortable on the soft, rutty tracks that’s backwards from what we saw in WSX. He really struggled on the hard pack track and was great on the softer track. Of course that was only two races and he’s had a lot of time on the bike since then so that might not even be relevant.

That’s a really good point, I remember that.

My thinking is maybe cause it was early days on the bike and then once his wsx stint ended he went full Cali testing with KTM and got that thing dialed in the west coast conditions? 

Not sure but they’ll get it dialed.
