RV back to Kawasaki

3/5/2026 4:14pm

Can Kawasaki have (2) Brand Ambassadors with the same # on their bikes ? Or do we see a “Welcome Back MC2” from either Yamaha or Honda.
Someone on here with some AI talent could create this “BREAKING” announcement ? Any takers ? Might as well create a rumor ?

Makes sense, guarantees his kids some team green support. Amateur racing is expensive.

Have no idea what Pc is actually worth but this would really make me interested. Mitch still at his age does a lot of hands on/travel and all that. RV has the wife and the kids and wants to chase the moto dream with them and afford them the opportunity(from what I see). So this would potentially take a lot of his time from that. That is the only reason why I couldn’t see it being worth his time for the money. But wtf do I know.

If he didn’t have money and were to look at it from that angle, yes. But for what 100-200k a year max I would think he could make more money other places.

(I’m stating the team green support to maybe in someway cut that much in costs for him not how much he’d make from the venture.)

I mean they both LOVE Coors Light. Just have to teach RV how to grind on some 2 stroke cylinders. RV already has a similar attitude. Seems like it could work.

I think this is more replacing MC for the science of SX segments.

Weimer didnt realize they had considered him for the Ambassador spot.  😬

He's mentioned a couple of times in his kids' videos that he's good for a filter change and maybe a couple of other small things, but there's a reason why he hired a mechanic to work on their bikes.

Kind of a surprise move. I thought the Yamaha culture worked for him.

If it was me I would have told KAW that it has to be a package deal with Jake Weimer. But that's just me.. )

Yeah, but also feels like he lost a ton of credibility by being "Blu Cru" for the past few years and talking about how good the bike is, and now he is "back home", but why leave it to begin with?  Oh yeah, because Kawi was paying MC and RV wanted a paycheck.  An ambassador is much more to me than just a rider, they should be someone dedicated to the brand like Travis was for Suzuki.  Otherwise it means nothing and I cannot believe it sells bikes.  I don't blame RV. Why not get paid to ride at special events and get free bikes etc.

Maybe thats the idea! Have everyone on your payroll saying how awesome the bike is. Then it doesn't matter how shit the bike is.

I think it’s sweet. Riding style always looked best with the Kawi. And obviously, with his boys progressing, team green will be along for the ride.

NOW, his words “working with everybody at kawi”… might have some input for the factory, but I don’t see him changing direction(taking time away from his boys racing program)or playing a major role too much.

Weimer has always been super whiney, so who knows if what he said had any validity.  If it did and he hated the team so much, why did he stay?

Jake’s best years in the 450 class were on that factory Kawi. He rode a team Tedder Kawi (probably a fully built PC450 with Tedders money and relationship with Mitch for all those years) and probably could’ve done whatever with that bike, and yaa his best results were on the factory bike. Jake battled that 2nd tier of 450 guys, but even with free rein on his bike, I don’t think he would’ve been battling the RV, Dung, Stew, Reed, and Canard group.

Times are a changing. Look at all the Deegan fans. Kid could trash Yamaha start his own team tomorrow running a TM and all of a sudden TM would sell like hot cakes.

Yes this is a very dramatic example but that’s all it is, an example.

People more so follow the name now than anything else.

Reed would have been a better option for figuring out a bike setup. Didn't even need to hire RV, but still glad he's back I guess.

This got a lot of thumbs up, but I say 0% chance RV doesn’t ride the team bike at some stage.

Ryno posted a clip from his ranch a couple of weeks ago, with RV's kids riding and him rolling around on a Kawi without graphics. It disappeared quickly after, so I had a feeling this was in the works

You can tell who didn't listen to Weimer's interview by the people calling him whiney and saying he wouldn't have been battling top guys. He was pretty damn clear on what he thought might have changed, his feeling towards the team, etc.

Thats vitards for ya. Complain that the riders never speak up and then once they do they complain about that also.
