With the report that Kyle Chisholm is testing for Chase Sexton & Kawasaki...do you think we'll see dramatic improvements in the factory Kawie and the resulting results for Sexton, or will it make any real difference at all? The team seems to be frantically looking for answers...with Chase's results & the recent history of Prado badmouthing the bike brutally.

Kyle has been doing this job for I think atleast a year, more like over two years.
Not for Kawi he hasn’t.
If they're bringing in a spot sub how cool would it be for Balls Out to show up. Bring someone in who's going to generate some interest !!!
Chase has a chase problem not a kawi problem. Chiz can’t solve that

It’ll help. But won’t solve everything. I also don’t think Chiz will be full time with them. He’s been with PRMX helping and I think kawi asked him to step in since he’s around
The only thing that will help Chase is a hypnotist and maybe a bowl or two every morning
Broc and Chizz will be able to get it close, but the “brass” at Kawi needs to dial in the final touches that CHASE wants
Has Chase ever got we he wanted on any brand? Isnt setup a trade off of a bikes performence traits in different sections and on different tracks? What is good on a practice may be bad on the race track. I think most riders would prefer predicatbility and deal with what ever limiations a bike may have?
At least Chizz and Tickle feel the same...
That's what we learned on Friday.
Idk but I hope Chiz can help the team. Chase having random crashes is nothing new, but Chase (and Prado for that matter) being slow on a dirtbike at majority of races is new. They need to get that bike fixed. In the last two seasons they have had two of the top 3 fastest riders in the world for years on other equipment, then they become slow on Kawi, that’s the indicator.
Don’t they practice on a track and put in heaters? If not what good is it then? Set up is dynamic with too many variables and will never be perfect, never. It has to be manageable in the areas where it’s off and not un rideable. Characteristics wise, I don’t think he liked the KTM and did the best he could with it and wanted back on an aluminum frame.
From my understanding is that Chase can be a little bull headed with setup and Chizz coming in reaffirmed Brock’s thoughts on certain things.
With Chase healing up, those boys will go to quick work to find a motorcycle with a solid base, it is up to Chase to accept it and move forward in a better direction setup wise. Sharp front end and low rear is not going to happen.
Chiz and Tick need to get the bike in a workable window and then throw the key to the toolbox away and save Chase from himself. One of the most incredible riders of this generation in terms of raw speed and physical performance, but after 3 other manufacturers it’s clear he is a number 1 rider in all facets apart from the ability to set a bike up.
Who for? (Sorry man, out of the loop.)
Or just starting last, like at Hangtown.
Debating whether or not to add to the conversation haha. Some correct info in here and some incorrect.
I think we’d love to hear as real of an analysis as you have liberty to share. Personally I’m not interested in drama and stuff I’m just interested in hearing about factory bike tests and continuous improvement. I hope you can chat some about that portion of what you were asked to do.
A clear it all up post is definitely what we need!!!
Pit Row
In Chiz we trust!
Let fly, homie!!!
I for one would love to hear because I got to hear first hand a lot about Jorge Prado and kawi doing a ton of testing at club and what they were doing and could do and couldn't do not to mention to compare it to what Brock tickles already said as well as kawis tester for over in Japan has already said.
I’ll get back to you guys soon. I have to start getting ready for the race over here in Costa Rica. But I’m friends with Chase (and Broc). Kawi asked me to help with some testing and feedback. I’m not currently in any obligations with anyone since the HEP team hasn’t been able to put a deal together for me to stay there. So of course I agreed to try to help the team and Chase. It’s so cool to me to get the opportunity to help a team and riders of that caliber so I’m thankful for the opportunity to help. We spent a few long days running through a lot of things in which I gave them feedback as they try to decipher what parts and settings do what. I also gave them my opinion on the direction and feelings that I think would help them. And I would say that the entire team from mechanics to engine to suspension to people in charge all worked their butts off and were happy to do so. I know they planned to take all the info they gathered and go back and continue to improve. I enjoyed helping and I hope to continue helping more so we’ll see what happens for the future 👍🏼
Lmfao! That's a good one.
Perfect role for you transitioning from full time racing it would appear. Happy to hear you are enjoying things.
Kooks….get a baseline setting and race the dam bike…..
I would want a former race winner to do my testing.. ala canard, possibly AC9, chad reed, as maybe the management would take it more serious. nothing against the current testers
Tickle has a bunch of 450 podiums indoors and out, plus his 250 championship. I think he’s more than qualified to test for Kawi.
Oh dam you’re saying Chiz has been testing for Kawasaki for over two years? Even when he was riding a Suzuki in Supercross? Thays crazzzy mannn. You must be a real insider
Time for the placebo setup with extra special "matched tires".
Did you notice that Marchbanks also said in his post-race interview that he was chasing setup? 8 races in and they don’t have it close yet? For the only rider they have left? Damn.
