I thought Anderson and Roczen’s bikes looked the best last night but the ktms and webb’s bike weren’t far behind.

wait, I thought it was universally agreed Honda had the most dialed in bikes in every aspect including starts that helped make the Hunter bros so consistently fast? 😉

Question for the stat guys; when/if Anderson & Kenny both end up on the box together, how far back do you have to go to find the last time that happened for Suzuki?

Ando was on the podium last year at A1. A 5th surprised people?

I’m pretty sure the yellow bike had the fastest lap time of the night, but can’t say for sure because live timing was jacked up. Regardless...

Hmmmm it puts out decent HP stock but likely puts out just as much as other factory bikes, it is incredibly well suspended and likely has some weight loss diet applied to it, it has also been unchanged in many years so setup remains constant = this is why it does well plus decent riders on them too.... so why are we all surprised ???

If you don't stall it, you don't need it.

I feel like new bike development has stalled . Not sure the old Susucki is that good. But definitely not bad

When the current Suzuki was new, it wasn’t a dominant bike. But it’s doing just as good today as it was nearly a decade ago.

Maybe the latest design advances really aren’t?

E-start. 99% of riders want E-start

Suzuki developed closed cartridge forks, brought FI to production motocross and redefined bold new graphics. People give KTM too much credit for pushing the envelope on motocross technology. They can keep their cone valves!

Honestly had me questioning buying a Honda for damn near double what I could have gotten the rmz for 🥲 I had no problems with a kickstarter

But we're talking about Suzuki racing in AMA Supercross, not what weekend warriors want. How the bike starts made no difference to Roczen's or Anderson's results.

I think people forgot his good start to the season and remembered the WSX races where he didn't look great. Thus, 5th felt and looked like a positive surprise.

Id love to hear how close Andersons bike is to Roczens, it feels like he benefited massively from Roczens testing skills getting that bike to where it is the past couple years.

They have massively different riding styles so id be curious to hear what they changed for him.

Actually Roczen said he benefited the most from Chiz’s testing and improvements to the bike. Giving credit where it’s due.

Not taking testing ability away from Chiz but Roger Decoster did that

Only thing that really surprised me was how bad Eli and Kenny waxed the rest of the field. They were in another time zone.

And outdoors the last time was Redbud 2016 with Kenny first overall and Tickle third overall.

Tomac was pretty much the only guy who was consistently skimming the whoops and making the triple after that for the whole main. He also absolutely killed the sand section. Kenny was a little quicker everywhere else but once he got closer to Tomac again he lost some bike lengths in those sections. Anyways, both of them had the track down like nobody else, super impressive.
I hope it continues like that with Hunter joining them.

I’m just talking about the current chassis that the current HEP teams run that DeCoster hasn’t been a part of developing anything on.
