I think even first outdoor nat, no way Deegs gonna be behind AP/JC/CW/MS/R-J unless of a crash/mech.
That leaves Hunter bros, ET3 (KTM😱), Chase (Kawi😱) Roczen and…Prado? and i think with a decent start, some of these riders will be beat.

I have no doubt he'll be fast. But let's not forget it's his first season on a 450, and with his riding style, I can see him starting to fade a bit at the 25 min mark. It'll get better throughout the summer, but a hot day, gnarly racetrack, it's going to catch up to him. I think Barcia's first 450 summer, his trainer said "going from boy strength to man strength".

Deegan is an unreal talent. There’s no denying it. But I don’t have to like him because of that. The kid is still an asshole.
Part of this camp too. He exhibits a lot of traits I dislike in people. But the folks that don’t think he’s going to be a menace on a 450 are crazy.
The clash on and off track between him and Jett will be fun to watch.
I wish more people understood this. You can dislike a guy without saying “he won’t even be top 5. Mookie has him covered”.

There's a big difference between having a personality and being a plain old asshole.
I suspect he's going to be in the RJ/AP/Prado zone around P5 average outdoors... JL - HL- ET - CS will be the "common" top 4 with some mix in's. But unless RJ/AP or Prado takes a notable step backwards, they are ahead of JC, CW and MS. JCoop is the one that could step up a bit this year and join the next group up.
Prado needs to take some steps forward first lol he spent all last year taking steps backwards.

They said he was a trust fund baby, wouldn't do anything in the pros, would he handled in the 250s, was the next Believe The Hype, sucked at supercross. Some even hated him when he was a 4 year old on a 50 because of who his dad is. Yet, Deegan put in the work, won the titles, dominated the 250s, and now that all the couch jockey predictions didn't pan out, they are turning to the 450 class saying the same things, only thing time, Barcia 2.0. Talk about egg on the face.

You have to give it to the HD...when he is racing, 90% of the eyes are on him. He is friggin gnarly to watch ride. The kid gives it every time. I like Shimoda and all the other guys...but Deegs brings it to an entrely different level. He had Shimoda dusted, but he just had to eff around and find out.
Um, Shimoda was racing for an SMX Championship, he didn't have to beat Deeg's, he did that the weekend before to put himself in position...

Isn't it funny how the most dominant rider in the 250 class since Tomac, is only 19 and being called a Cherry Picker against riders 5-10 years older than him that have been in the 250 class for the past 10 years.
He's also moving up this summer anyway. It's fine to not like the guy but he's not cherry picking anything when there's the word teen in his name currently.
I was referring to that. Deegs could have dusted Shimoda that race easily and sent a message...yeah, you won the championship, but I just literally walked you. But, instead Deegs fkd around and lost the race plus got hurt.
I love how when people talk about Deegans 450 future, and they talk about the titles he is going to win. But always only about outdoors haha
People saying Deegs is cherry picking the 250 class are just bummed that he isnt going to be delivering the entertainment we know we're gonna get from him on 450s
