Those has beens gonna have to keep up with him first

Wipe Deegans load from your eyes and watch it again. Deegan spent the whole race trying to line Jo up and wreck him. From the gate drop where he lined up inside him and swerved across him and the very next straight where he was looking around for him snd again swerved across in the turn to go for him. To every lap after it before he crashed out. He was trying to take Jo out. Not force a mistake. He was trying to take him out of the race.

The only reason it didn’t work is because Jo was aware Deegan was going to try taking him out. So he rode defensively and Deegan couldn’t get a good shot at him. Talking shit to him on the line before hand shows just how dumb that little punk is. Give him a warning about how he won’t know what’s coming… so that he now knows it’s coming?

Everyone knows exactly what sort of rider he is (except for his fans funnily enough) and honestly the only shocking thing is he wasn’t even trying to hide it even while on probation. He thinks he is above the rules. Probably because he is. Deegan wasn’t trying to win that race. He was trying to wreck his opponent. He just doesn’t give a fuck about other riders. Not even his teammates. So its karma that he crashed trying to injure Jo and he was the one who couldn’t continue.

How dare he talk crap to Jo! Not in my sport! He’s so dumb because he’s talking crap on the line instead of being a quiet respectful young gentleman!!!

Making threats!!! GASP! Trying to get in the head of another rider you say? The audacity!

How dare he do everything he can to win!

Wearing a jersey with a skull in MY SPORT? Blasphemy!!

I’m pretty sure they’re hired to win races, not appease the likes of you.

If you can’t handle it go watch golf. Sounds like it’s got you pretty stressed out.

I bet the first moto you were watching all pumped up seeing Deegan pass everyone and almost catch Jo. But then you found something to complain about.

Oh and he definitley used some type of heat seeking lock on technology that’s against the rules to land on top of Ryder D. How could he have possibly done that by accident?

Yet here you are complaining. But you’ll renew your Peacock subscription and watch all next year. And complain again, every year. It’s a cycle. 👍

Same, I now see that there are a lot of fully grown adults that can’t handle someone having different opinions than them on a dirtbike race.

I’d hate to see how some of you act over disagreements of something that actually matters in your life.

Anyone on this thread is lying 100% if they say they wouldn't do the same thing. It's crazy how yall are hating on him for trying anything he could to win a championship. Also I don't beleive he tried to take him out.. he went in hard and his front brake hit on Joe and it took them both out.

Same with the money argument. There's too many people out there who think being an asshole is ok as long as you're getting paid for it. Then of course there are people who are assholes, not getting paid, but happen to idolize a lot of rich assholes. Funny how that works.

Nice bait, kid. Like I said, no further discussion. Hit me back when your frontal lobe develops.

Also watch the latest Deegan video. Brian explains it perfectly. Something like that would probably not happen in sx or mx. But the way the series and points are setup for smx is all or nothing. Especially with what Levi did the week prior.. hell you didn't see Deegan bitching about Levi taking him out..

Like with everything you missed the point. Deegan might be faster than a lot of them. Hes not a great starter. Those has beens can make it really hard for him to get to the front so easily like the 250 class.

So a rider should risk punishment to ride dirty (and potentially injure other riders), and that is the promoters fault ? And riders should not care what it looks like to fans/sponsors/etc because it's all the promoters fault ?
Brian and Haiden (and I guess Star racing) can justify what happened all they like but all they have done is made things harder for themselves in the future.

What an absolute load of shit, all you are trying to do is justify your own narrative by saying we all  think the same thing, problem is we are not.

Jo mentioned something about his leg hurting from getting hit in his podium interview and when he walked off it looked like he might have had a slight limp.

You are right Gator. The lovely RC said the same, Andersson and Barcia will teach the young Lawrences some lessons... Well RC didn't understand that Barcia and Anderson are not fast enough to be in such place, never been... The racing world has moved on with faster guys.

So not many will be able to play with Deegan, maybe top 4 are fast enough.... Sad but true.

You didn't see Jo bitching about Haiden trying to take him out either. What you can see is the Deegan mob who were calling out Levi for dirty riding trying to justify the same (worse) riding from Deegan.

Seems Lindsay "can't get the job done by cleaning him out on the first try" (to be fair Lindsay's comment was more nuanced than that) and others think it's ok if you take a guy out on the first try, but if you try and bunch them up or mess with someone multiple times it's not ok.  I find it difficult to find the difference.  I imagine there's a lot of luck if you send it in like when Osborne did on Savatgy.  Osborne's been praised.  Joey could have easily been seriously hurt.  I recall mixed reactions to Tomac's "bunch em" up.  Point is, seems people seem to judge more on the outcome and their rider preference than any kind of actual objective criteria.  Either let them race, full contact or not, but quit whining.  Trying to judge that grey area in the middle is difficult and too subjective.

The difference that has been mentioned many times is that most would agree that a takeout in a do or die situation is acceptable when you continue to race to the front. Racing behind you, allowing a pass just for another T-Bone is scummy. If Deegan had cleaned out Jo on his first try when trying to pass he would not have gotten nearly this reaction. He’d get the normal haters but not this.

I think most forget that Chase and Webb were in a tight title fight this SX season and you didn’t see these antics between those 2 for a significantly more prestigious title.

Meanwhile Deegan goes for multiple kill shots for a fake championship and an extra $250k (compared to 2nd place purse)…

I guess common really isn’t common. Of course Jo isn’t bitching because he won and was expecting there to be a battle. It’s for the championship after all. The Levi situation is totally different. It’s a mid pack rider taking out the back2back smx champ, mx champ, and sx champ who is the points leader and heavy favorite on the very first lap. Is this hard to understand? 😂

Guy can barely put a sentence together. And the conspiracy theory is rather far fetched. I think Mitch's reputation speaks for itself and he's basically shitting all over it while disregarding all the grudges his own kid creates for himself. Just goes to show you ambition and ruthlessness often count for more in America success-wise than intellect or character.

Like Eminem said, you only get one shot. If he would've tried once, failed and stopped. Fine. The multiple attempts just showed that his intelligence/talent is low. He has a physical advantage over his competitors that will be gone when he gets to 450s, combined with odd emotional outbursts. Idk what could possibly cause that lol. Too much estrogen? Anyways, congrats to Shimoda and his PROFESSIONALISM. I'll be impressed if deegan wins even 1 450 sx in his entire career. Many dominant 250 riders never did so....
