Aggressive riding for a win is way different than aggressive riding because you don't want someone else to win.  Kitchen wasn't going to win whether Degan was there or not.   Bitch move on Kitchens part.

In most circumstances I agree. I acknowledge being hypocritical when it comes to the Danger Boy. Been waiting a long time for somebody to dispense some justice on the big mouth.

Does he talk shit?  Absolutely.  Do I wish he wouldn't?  Definitely.  Do I still think it was a bitch move by someone who couldn't win the race? 100%

“I wanted him to do that”

Mitch Payton

If Bobby doesn’t respond he’s a pussy.

the AMA gave Kitchen a warning? Good lord. Deegan barely even fell over. When Deegs punted Davies, not a word from the AMA. they shoot themselves in the foot constantly.....

Perhaps Deegan had it coming, but Kitchen taking himself out in the process kind of negates the "payback". That Kitchen has been in the 250 class a few years now with no titles and no path to the 45os for now, while Deegan is a multi-time champ being touted as Jett's next big threat next year, makes this all seem all the more petty. Kitchen has every right to have an axe to grind with Deegan, but Kitchen should focus more on Kitchen at this point in his career than who he thinks deserves "payback". Eric Sorby comes to mind when I think of a "lites" class rider interested in paybacks, champs most times do not.

I’m pretty sure Kitchen has a pretty clear path to a Kawi 450.

Winning a lot on 250s is he?

It was beautiful and I hope this gives the other riders in that class the confidence to park Deegan’s dumbass every chance they get for every bitch move he has pulled on guys in the past. 2026 250 SX is going to be great if more guys sack up like Levi. YES CHEF

There was a post that was quickly removed or deleted, said something like ”JS post race texted LK asking if it was intentional and if there was an issue today and got yes and yes”

Most likely bullshit regarding JS texting but there is rumors about something going on between them before the race..?

It’s on the main broadcast, the very last 30 seconds before they close the official post race show that’s on the main broadcast - check it out on replay.

Levi didn’t necessarily take himself out.  Go back and watch. When Deegs realized what was happening he chose to lean into Levi hard tangling them both up

Was deegan not responsible for the practice start crash that left Levi on the ground? Im guessing that might have been the final straw

Pretty sure that was Cole who bumped into Deegan causing the reaction. Unless you’re talking about a different time that I missed?

I just went back and watched a replay because of your comment. Its tough to tell, but i think you are right about Haiden leaning in. That's a good take, and Haiden didnt do himself any favors by the way he reacted to Levi on the inside of him.

Haiden could have checked up and let the aggressive pass happen. In that scenario, he keeps decent track position. Then he could focus forward and charge to the front.

It was super aggressive from Levi no doubt. But like so many are saying, hasn't Haiden been super aggressive the whole time? This is a perfect example of why playing the "villain" is not a good strategy. It could cost him a championship.

Been along time coming for Deegan just like when Mookie and Bogle took it to Barcia. Kitchen was just the guy who delivered the message.

I 100% agree with your point of view. I guess we are just old fossils based on the downvotes you got for espressing an old school attitude about racing.

Zero honor in the punk move of Tboning Deegan

I don't downvote so I'm quoting to state my opinion regarding Kitchen blind siding Deegan with a full "T-BONE" center punch.

The line Kitchen took through that turn can not be interpreted as anything other than a cheap shot.

You trying to justify it as some thing else is either pure hate for Deegan or full fan boy for Kitchen

Trying to compare Kitchen cleaning out Deegan to the Davies incident earler in the years does not make sense because deegan and davies bikes were literally side by side going the same direction. Any pro racer other than a rookie in davies shoes probably makes an adjustment and doesn't go crash over the berm

The undercurrent of opinions on Vital are in full display after this incident. Kitchen just showed us he is a cheap shot artist when he can't get it done the right way. Bravo.

It was a shitty move. I'll admit I cheered a little bit for it though. Yes, I did. And I root for Haiden. Hes the most exciting 250 rider to watch by a mile. He's so good he's made many a race boring. Hes on a different level than the field. Dirty move or not, somebody gave it back to him and I cheered. The comparison to the move on Davies is ridiculous. Davies could have backed out and they were racing for the title still. Was Levi mathematically still in contention for the SMX title? And he took himself out, too.

Gave what back to him? That's like sucker punching someone. Beat the guy the right way. Catch him and put a hard block pass on him, Brake check him. Spar with him on social media or at a press conference. That made Kitchen look weak and senseless.

Haiden Deegan did in fact receive a warning from the AMA after his incident with Cole Davies.

I think it's because Star protested the move. Had it gone on without protest there probably wouldn't have been a "warning".

The gentle punt that broke Schock’s collar bone? Against a guy with no dog in the fight. Ok got it lol.

Wasn’t his collarbone already cracked before that? Not defending haiden, that was lame, but i’m pretty sure coty’s collarbone was cracked before that. I love how coty battled with haiden at A1 this year, that was cool.

Both went down. But Deegan lost the overall he was almost certain to get and the massive points lead he would have. What did Kitchen lose? A 4th or 5th place overall?

Kitchen had a mini win by taking more from Deegan than he lost. If Shimoda gets second or better next week that take out cost Deegan $250k.

Good post!

Just watched it again Sunday morning. I don't see a T-bone. Aggressive for sure but Deegan has had his moments as well. Sure did wake me up for the 2nd 450 moto.

Maybe next week Deegan will go for the takeout and they will go to fisticuffs mid-race.
