What would be the reason for removing the Godzilla jump? That was one of my favorite parts of the track. Hoping its back for MXoN.

They probably removed it "because of" the MXON

That sucks to hear. Someone needs to revisit allowing "C" riders into the MXoN... We shouldn't have to build vet tracks to accommodate certain teams that will never qualify.

Wait they really took it out of MXON? I thought they treat that like Mt Martin where its only open on pro day to save amateurs from hurting themselves.  If true then thats super lame, one of the biggest jumps on the circuit

edit looks like they did, here is the track preview, and its also changed for the national too https://racerxonline.com/2025/08/07/what-does-the-new-ironman-raceway-l…

Wow, they completely neutered the track. Even beyond the Godzilla jumps.

I don't see why they would remove it for MXON. If I remember Ernee has the gigantic uphill jump they didn't remove, and I'm pretty sure that quad at Matterly Basin was huge to. Not sure if its on the same level as Godzilla though, someone who's better versed I'm sure will say.

The MXGP guys are familiar with that jump at Ernee so they leave it in.  Since the MXGP guys aren't familiar with Godzilla they have to take it out, we can't expect them to adapt so quickly.

That's literally freakin stupid. Im about to be 40 and would still jump both. If mxon riders cant jump it, they shouldnt be racing that event. Werent supermini kids hitting it? I know quads were. Wild.

Watching the bikes disappear on the downside of Godzilla was amazing. It sucks they took it out. This will be the first year since 2021 that I watch from home and after seeing the track changes I don’t regret it as much now. Saving $242.61 will help too.

This is probably the lamest thing that's happened all season. Godzilla is massive, but it's a tabletop...that's literally the safest type of massive jump there is.

Making my decision to save about $600 by not going to a National again this year a lot easier.

Do ridiculously oversized jumps really do it for you all?

It really is just an oversized blind jump.  I would never have done it even when I was young and crazy but it doesn't seem to faze today's riders.  The view at the top is insane really.  Kind of iconic...sad if it's gone.

Can't have a big table blocking the VIP view of the rest of the track.

The map for the national shows the VIP section in slightly different area but funny that both still try to sell it as godzilla..... hill.....

My thoughts exactly. I was super disappointed when I got their for the LL regional earlier this year. The track used to be amazing. Pretty lame now.

The original track design seemed better.   Seems like it went from a world class track to something that's a little strange.  Weird obstacles with an awkward flow.

The euros have faced larocco’s leap, the triple in ernee and the quad at matterly, they can freaking handle godzilla. Also, a track having 4 actual jumps is lame.

To be fair, if I recall it was GP riders doing the leap more than US riders. Especially in the First Nations there, 2018 or whenever it was.

Respectfully, are you sure it has been removed?

Is the removal of Godzilla definitely because of MXON? As people have said, plenty of MXON tracks in recent years have had huge jumps. Don't forget that Ironman had that fucking MASSIVE jump after Godzilla that was also taken out and that had nothing to do with MXON.
