Marchbanks may seem comfortable and for all I know he is, but his options are also very limited. It is unlikely he would land another factory ride on a major manufacturer if he left Kawi so it is in his best interest to keep his mouth shut even if he was unhappy with the bike. He just doesn't have the same leverage as Sexton does in finding a new ride.

The Kawi that Febvre rides and the Kawis they have here in the states are very different bikes. It is not a comparison that works.

Wild. Just because they're racing at the pro level doesn't mean basic morality should be abandoned. There is plenty of precedent of this happening at press day, and plenty of pro riders have stopped what they're doing to help a guy get out from under their bike. I'll even give you an example from this year. This goes all the way down to the core of what moto is all about... sportsmanship and respect for your fellow riders. If you disagree with this, I think you should find a different hobby.

He’s usually careful about what he puts out there. To be fair he did say he got a text the day prior from another very trusted source saying a PMG Suzuki deal was done, then the following day got a call from someone else saying a Quadlock deal was done.

I don’t think it’s uncommon for riders to do that, in fact I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s in their contracts that they aren’t allowed to follow other manufacturers/sponsors on social media.

Chase was very vocal about the bike not being what he was looking for around the time he signed with KTM. He signed with KTM with over a full season left and Honda got the bike dialed for him by the time he left. But he wanted to leave because of the bike ( at the time) and Jett and Hunter being on the team . He was also very vocal about disliking the KTM and wanting to get off of it. He might have given other reasons like the ones you listed in addition to the bike issues. But...

It's crazy that he's pretty much done deal with KTM, HEP and Quadlock... Either 2/3rds of the rumours are BS, or he's switching between 3 bikes on race day

If HEP signs Chase or not I gotta seriously respect them for what they have accomplished, they are single handily keeping Suzuki motorcycles relevant on a world stage and have started from pretty much nothing to being one of the best teams in the sport.
