Saying this as a chase fan, if KTM takes him back, they better make him wear a plain black helmet that says dunce across the back instead of a red bull one. 🤣🤣

Free agent - he'd be ignorant to not test all bike options available to him? Unfortunately, it would essentially be off the couch returning from the ACL, and time is against him. But surely, he doesn't go in blind???

All I have to say is.. who tf even wants him on their team at this point? He's such a head case and currently making every team he gets involved with look bad. 

I mean 4 teams in 3 years is crazy... (3 years 1 month)

He ended Honda's 20yr curse and won KTM a title...

I don't think Chase hated the KTM, in my opinion it was the best he has looked all around on a bike. I think he hated that he had to stay within a window on setup or else parts started breaking, and I'm sure he wasn't getting much flexibility/resources given the uncertainty of the KTM groups financials.

Think about it. The dude had some wild crashes due to mechanical failures... throttle stuck (Nashville 24'), rear brake (speculative...Pala 25') and rear brake (Ironman 25') (Not to mention other rumored mid-week crashes possibly due to bike). It was never talked about... but if I were to bet... his over the bars at SMX finale in Vegas was a faded shock failure induced crashed given just the week prior in STL his rear shock failed in the final moto.

With all that said. Hats off to KTM USA. They cleaned it up pretty well I think with Tomac/Prado this year. Looks to me Kawi has some studying of the KTM group to do. Although if he goes back to KTM I wonder who his mechanic will be.. wasn't it reported that Jade and him weren't really seeing eye to eye towards the end?

If I recall correctly, it was the opposite, and Jade was the only KTM personnel he was willing to talk with. My bet is that he does go back to KTM because of the open budget left by Eli's retirement, and we see Lucas Coenen miss more time to get his nerve situation under control. 

It's a toss-up between KTM and HEP at this point. 

If HEP signs Chase or not I gotta seriously respect them for what they have accomplished, they are single handily keeping Suzuki motorcycles relevant on a world stage and have started from pretty much nothing to being one of the best teams in the sport. 

Ah that seems more likely scenario. Jade seems like a cool dude and doesn't strike me as the guy who would blindly be against his rider toting some corporate line. At the end of the day its his machine; I'm sure he was just as frustrated to be bolting on sketchy rear shocks. 

If there was hard feelings between Harrison or Decoster.. they seem forgiving but not without some uncomfortable conversation and probably some "airing out" between them before moving forward.

He needs a team who can magically divine settings with which he is comfortable. He struggles to understand and communicate them. Suspension settings are magical combinations of spring rates and damping, all mixed up with terrain response and application of power. It takes a rider willing to work to understand and communicate them, and subtle interaction of each parameter, and a likewise communicative team, plus test, test and more test. Get it all right and you have "comfort".

It's crazy that he's pretty much done deal with KTM, HEP and Quadlock... Either 2/3rds of the rumours are BS, or he's switching between 3 bikes on race day
