Congrats to Austin Forkner

Edited Date/Time 7/19/2025 4:36pm

So glad to see him put in a solid weekend. He’s  looking smooth and continuing to improve. I hope this race brings him the confidence he needs to run up in the top 5 every weekend !!

Top 5 with late race passes to boot. Pretty darn good improvement!

So happy for that guy. What a struggle it's been, and what amazing perseverance and grit he has. The ride of the day IMHO.

I think that I’m more happy for his top 5 than I would be for nearly any other rider’s win!  I’ve never been a huge fan of Forkner, but I really like watching his tenacity to try to get back to his peak form.

Best ride from him this year and I also have to eat my own words, I thought he wouldn't be the same anymore but this is one hell of an improvement. At this rate I have no reason to think that he won't be up there again next year. Really happy for him and triumph!

He deserves this. It’s been a LONG road back for him. Good on him for sticking to the gameplan of just putting in a full years worth of racing to get his base back. Kudos AF!

Excellent interview!  He's been through a hell most of us will never know.  He's matured and never, ever has he given up.  That's a Champion of any sport.

Last weekend wasn't too shabby either.  He must read Vital 😀  Great seeing the progress and speed coming back!

I sure am glad to see him getting back to form. He was pulling a "Ricky Bobby on fire" for a while there.

Last 4 motos 9-11-5-5. Did he just flip a switch or what? Hopefully someone steps up and asks him for an interview. Great progress!

Big injuries. Multiple times. He's a tough somebody. I hope he can keep building.

Happy as hell for Austin !  Long road to come back, but he is making strides, and doing it after injuries and surgeries that would have made many take a permanent break from the sport. BAMF !

I'm so happy that austin is doing this good after brain surgery non the less. Can't wait to see if he can keep improving and get back to the podium. Can't wait to see if this transfers to supercross. I really hope he finishes all of the rounds including smx. When's the last time he did that?

Great to see Austin make such a huge improvement the past few weeks! A 5th in a stacked 250 field! Keep it up Austin.

I’m stoked for him and that ride. Seeing him charging and passing guys late in the race was awesome to see and shows some promise for next year. Hoping he keeps building and improving, he deserves it if anyone does.

Austin is a good dude. I don't know exactly why, but I've always been a fan, and for some reason he reminds of great racers of our past in this sport. Hope I'm making sense when I say he reminds of Barnett, Guy Cooper, John Dowd and for guts and grit, and sometimes a little McGrath and Jean-Michele Bayle with his early supercoss smoothness.

Out early in SX seasons so many times with major injuries. Just hope he has a great rest of this season and a great SX season coming in '26.

I wanted to like this but it has 83 likes and I refuse to be the person to take that away. Bike didn’t look great, but man did Austin ride well in that second moto! Glad to see him getting back to the front

Keep building. I still believe he has a championship in him if he has no more set backs.

Speed has never been a problem for the kid, he always came back and rode like he was never off the bike, it takes some time to get your brain accustomed to going the speed these guys are going, one little laps concentration and you are injured again. It’s about time he came back and slowly built himself back up to racing speed. At the pace he is working toward during his comeback he will be at podium speed next season.
