it’s evident the sport has changed a lot when it comes to how fans respond to rider personalities. I think Deegan is exactly what the sport needs. Bon Hannah was brash and cocky and he’s a legend in the sport. I also like the serious demeanor of someone like Sexton. the Lawrence brothers are excellent ambassadors. I don’t see a problem. these guys are all wins for the fans. 

Deegan had to walk so this moron could run. 

MY gosh, never thought the soft wishy washy, "He said something hurtful" crowd would get to the MX world. "Oh my gosh he is so mean" As the earlier poster said you guys would have been crying in the corner in the 70's and 80's and even early 90's. You think Ricky was some pushover in his day? James, Broc, Hannah, Weinert. They would kill you for a win. And now we have the he needs to be happy with second.

 You must all be Sexton fans, because that seems like the kind of rider you like. A dude who just said "The downhill was too scary today"

Deegan has taken it to another level this week on TikTok. Dude is so insecure if anyone posts something about him he doesn’t like he’s in their comment sections. He’s been bagging on women that are moto moms, good job bro.

The kid is a hell of a talent.  But his persona makes me think I’m at a monster truck event, not a moto or supercross race.  I can’t stand monster trucks.

You had me in the first half until you made the sexton comment. 

Brash and cocky are great for the sport.  Being aggressive on the track, jumping stuff others are not and his big whips and things are just what the sport needs right now.

But lately it has been full douche mode, mostly on social media.  

Deegs can transcend the sport and do what MC did and take it to a new level of excitement and popularity.  Or he can continue down the recent path and make it cringy.  It could be at a crossroads and I hope he makes the right choice.  

Whether you like him or not, he definitely adds excitement and makes things interesting.

For those who don't like him, it'll make it all the sweeter when he gets beat. For those that like him, it'll be the same for when he wins. 

How many people love the Bears and hate the Packers, or Cubs vs Cardinals. It is a lot more exciting when your team beats their rivals, and we have the potential to see that every week for years to come when he moves to the 450s. 

I wouldn't act the way he does but thats just because our personalities are different. Doesn't mean I don't like him. 

Regardless, love him or hate him, I only see positives and a lot to look forward to when he moves up to the 450 class. In fact, Jett and Haiden being polar opposites makes it even more exciting. 

To me...seems identical to the Deegan family shtick.

I'm thinking thats not riding all week, or maybe even some pain reliever induced, his tiktoks are cringey normally, but the ones he posted this week were on a whole other level of cringe.

I'm not a fan of Deegan, but he's definitely good for the sport. And while I don't like his borderline sore winner attitude, at least he's respectful when he loses. I can handle a sore winner or a sore loser, but I can't stand someone who's both.

It's fortunate for the sport that him and Jett are likely to be the two guys to beat in the premier class for the next 5 years or more, considering they both have the biggest outside draw. And since their personalities are almost polar opposite, this has the potential to develop into an all-time rivalry.

They definitely were but I can ‘“laugh” at the stupidity. It’s weird when fans who buy his merch for their kids ask hey what’s up with this or that and he shows up in their comments talking shit to the moms that support him. If a guy comments negatively on his video, he says hey bro don’t come at me your wife is fat. For one of the top athletes in the sport he looks like a jackass. I’m surprised that as long as he has been doing social media he let’s that stuff get to him. 

He just got beat by a 32 year old part time racer who’s been on the bike five times this year. Jett ain’t worried..

I recall Jett getting beat by a 32 year old, coming off of injury  a few races back at Hangtown. 

And one of the moto's at high point.

I mean let's not ignore the fact that the kid in the OP is the literal definition of a "kid"...the term that so many here use to excuse Deegan's antics...thats if they can be called antics any more.  He's on his way to reaching his final form.

I'm older than dirt and THE only shit I give is what he does for 30 +2 twice on Saturday. He shows up and rides like he needs to pay the rent every weekend. The rest of the nonsense doesn't fucking matter in my book.
