It is a tall order to come out and win right away and maybe I'll eat my words but I wouldn't be surprised if hes a consistent top 5 overall finisher a majority of the rounds. If he can stay consistent, I think he could end up making the championship ... more »
Shout out to Iowa and the Midwest. Not too often a rider from this area becomes as successful as Brayton. Also props to Brent Duffe for his time working with him as his mechanic.
100% a true inspiration. Amazing career. Congratulations

So it's legal but is it possible? Can you add an electric start to a zook or is it not that simple?

Good question, couldn't a team just add an electric start or is it not that simple?
I'd guess there's a 50/50 chance he races the entire season. I think Dungey has had the itch to race again for awhile now which is why he was trying to return to the sport a year or two ago when he was looking for a team/support. (Can't remember when ... more »
Hypothetical curious question - If Herlings or any other noteworthy rider came over, would they make an exception and give them their current 2 digit number? Or if its already assigned, would they let them choose another 2 digit number or would they ... more »
Right I've heard that before but I'm more talking about a rider who say chooses to start racing on a 2022 kx450. They dial it in and by the end of that season they are pretty comfortable with the bike. During the off season, they continued to develop ... more »

Good call, same as my post above. Was thinking back to the amateur dvds and thought I remembered him being from Texas.
Yep your correct. I was thinking back to the amateur dvds like the prospects and in the ranks and thought I remembered him being from Texas but I was mistaken.
Makes me wonder how much the local scene matters for future success. Obviously the more moto the better at the local level but I feel like most kids with potential switch to homeschooling and move out to California or other training facilities pretty ... more »
Good call forgot about that one in 2020. I know he has a few 250 wins as well but this win sticks out to me. Maybe because of how stacked and intense the 450 class is this year and it's right in the middle of the season with everyone still racing for ... more »
Texas was killing it for awhile in the 2000s and looked to have a few upcoming stars. Wharton Brothers, Lemoine, Stroup and there was a few more around that time. Can't think of their names at the moment. Around that time, I would have expected Texas ... more »
Forgot about him. Thanks for the reminder haha
Haha true. I'd say 250 and 450 class counts as a win in my book.
Just curious if there is a list of which states have produced winning riders in pro mx/sx? I would guess California has the most winners but with Chase Sexton winning the first moto at Washougal, is that the first win for Illinois? Brayton from Iowa. ... more »
