Guys, I saw a video yesterday i wanted to share but cannot find it. It was some short reel someone posted on FB or Youtube. Jett was coming in for landing on a jump on southwick. Has anyone come across this video? I tried finding it for 20 minutes yesterday with no luck.

It was fucking insane. On the way down in the air he scrubbed the bike in the air to not click the top of the backside of the landing. Once he was clear he straightened it out. Very similar to what he did in Millville on the jump after the Chadapault but way more whipped. Then he landed and went off the jump to flat Deegan whipped passed Kitchen on last year.

you're referring to a small adjustment mid air to get the wheels over a crest and avoid clipping it. Jett is especially good at "catching downsides". He was doing the exact thing you are referring to over the single after the rollers at Red Bud, he was the only guy getting it clean, the others would case it slightly, the maneuver your mind is blown by is the difference between clipping a rear wheel and landing clean on he downside (and saving maybe 0.3 seconds) You just cant see this weekend's one from the same angle as the Southwick one. He isn't the only one doing this though and its a common thing for pro level guys to do, its just a mid air adjustment that will be muscle memory for most of them.

PS, In answering the OP - Jett has to have an abnormal vestibular system, that manifests in the above and many other micro adjustments that mean he always looks perfect everywhere and is never "pushing past his limits" visually. Balance is everything in this sport.

That’s the most forward on the bike I ever saw.  He’s always off the back on the bike.  Honda engineers got it together to get the bike to turn.

Because he is better then Hunter…seems simple enough?

Just like if you ride C class and you ride with an A rider both riders on the exact same bike, the A rider will leave the C rider.

Why is this a thread lol.

So hunter is the C class rider? and he's 2nd in points? what does that make the rest of the field.

Hunter is under rated outdoors, he's ahead of former champions Eli and Chase.

Hunter = 2x 250 champ (1 sx/1 mx) no 250 sx or mx wins.

Chase = 4x champ (2 being 450) 13 450 mx wins and 16 450 sx wins.

Hunter is doing well, but he has a ways to go to think he is on either ET3 or CS4 type level.

He clearly has huge natural talent & fitness aswell, but damb that’s a winning formula.

10 minute foundation training on YouTube = Jett’s success. Smile

Imo... Jett and hunter have the same bike... both ride new school... same coaches... so whats the difference??

Form factor, that's what..

Jetts larger form factor allows him to hit bumps at greater speed as he has significantly more leg travel then his brother..

But wait... there's more!! Jetts form factor creates more leverage when accelerating... all of us have seen jett next to someone on the flat, and he yards them!!... it's because he is putting more leverage into the rear tire for more traction...

Imo... jetts extra size allows him to go faster than shorter guys... it reduces the upper limit for speed in guys like hunter or deegs...

I was watching him come through the deeply rutted off camber after the brutal downhill on the south end of the track. He would enter a rut in the middle of the track at the bottom with the front wheel but then immediately pop a little wheelie and weight the back wheel all in one quick little move. He was so much more efficient there than anyone I saw all day. He has a riding technique IQ greater than anyone I've seen since MC or JMB. I was watching him do the leap in practice and he did it in such an uneventful fashion, his bike sounded like it was idling. He didn't boner air the takeoff and would drop the front at the landing just enough to land gracefully get back on the gas down the landing ramp. He carries so darn much speed where others don't it is ridiculous. If you don't know what you are watching, you could almost be bored by it lol.

When I saw him at Washougal it looked like he was riding a mountain bike the way he hopped braking bumps and put the bike anywhere on track he wanted. Watching Sexton chase him the difference was stark. Jett pulled away and made it look easy, where Chase (and the rest of the field) definitely make it look as rough as it is

At race speeds during the beginning of a race Jett can see and read the tiniest of things to pick apart the track for being just a tiny bit quicker here and a tiny bit quicker there when he puts them all together his lap times get better as he goes.

Jett is a master track chef cutting slicing and dicing

Nobody is picking on you for your clutch perch question? Are you crying about when you bought a shock for a bike that wasn’t yours and then it didn’t fit? Yeah man…. Quit lying to yourself, you ain’t even close to fit or fast enough to outride the abilities of your RMZ shock. Quit lying to yourself and everyone else that it’s holding you back, it ain’t. What’s holding you back is that the throttle is on the right and you need to twist it further. Before you run your mouth, I guarantee I’m faster than you and I’ll put up $1,000 anytime; anywhere to prove it.

Oh man!😂😂😂

Not to start another PED discussion, but the way Jett sees the track and is able to process information reminds me of JS7 when he was still on adderall.  He’s racing the track not the other riders.

Should have told Hunter he isn’t on Tomac’s level last weekend, because he obviously didn’t realise and passed him.

All I know is we’re all watching something special, Jett is so smooth and effortless it’s almost disgusting. Hunter has really asserted himself this year too. They should probably return those red bikes to the NHRA trailer they stole them from because they’re rocket ships!
