They really should cut ties with Mirtl because that is why they didn't found an interested team in the USA and they renewed their contracts with KTM (they where signed till 2026 and will now racing for better money from season 2026, the end date is something I don't know) but it is Debize that fixed that upgrade. Mirtl wasn't popular with teams and after his latest stunts he can probably try it in another sport just like Dave Grant (Stefan Everts former agent who stole his money).
About Everts racing in 1997, back than he raced officially for Honda UK supported by HRC run by Dave Grant. Dave Grant was pushing for step towards the USA because Everts would probably could've made some more money in the USA and he as agent would too. Only from 1998 the Honda team got the official label as Factory HRC Honda team, but it was almost the same team only they signed big tobacco sponsorship with L&M.
