All I’ve heard is that it isn’t good and he was supposed to have an MRI today (Monday)

I'm no Doctor, but I have torn my ACL a couple of times, it didn't look good to me.

All ive seen is Lars with ML saying "its not good." How absolutely gutting for Chance. Does someone smarter than me, so thats all of you lol, know if certain people are more prone to ACL tears? Is Dean Wilson on the forum? 😂

Hope the best for Chance. His MRI was yesterday, so maybe we hear something in the next couple days.

Did you tear the same knee multiple times?

If Chance tore his knee up again, this time it’s his right knee. I believe the last couple of times he tore his ACL it was his left knee.

As someone who has been through 2 ACL tears, one on each knee….its the worst feeling in the world when it happens , because you know its a long & painful recovery…..sometimes its just bad luck when it happens….hopefully its nothing major but judging by his reactions….he knows its destroyed….. welcome to rut o cross👌

I believe you're correct about it being the right knee but I thought I heard thats the knee that was just repaired. Maybe from the Lars interview? I could be wrong

Hmm, I thought they said he reinjured the same knee last year so this would be the first time he tore the right one.

Bummed for Chance, he was on the way to becoming the next guy when Haiden leaves the class.  Another 3-4 months and we see how he recovers

I am not sure if anybody else caught it, but when the cameras followed Jett back to the Honda truck after the end of the 450 moto, Jett went to console Chance who was sitting on a table with his legs up and appeared to be sobbing.  What a bummer, I know it is early in the outdoor season, but he has been the only one to hold a candle to Deegan so far.

Yes, first time was wakeboarding. Got a cadaver graft, did a full year rehab, then tore it again a month later, that time it was a moto race. Never got it replaced, that was ~20 years ago. 53 years old now, and almost time for a knee replacement.

Yeah it has to be devastating when you are starting to ride so well and feel like the injuries are behind you. I feel for the young man.

My son has torn his right ACL twice now at 18, neither time was an MRI required to diagnose.  A couple bends and twists of the leg and the surgeon knew right away.

Poor kid. Goes from 1-1 last week to probably having a torn up knee.

Anybody who wants to watch, Jett comforts Chance at the 3 hour 24 minute mark of the race replay.

No news is NOT good news.

He will regroup and live to fight another day.  It's so tough mentally as it is physical.

I tore my ACL while wearing CTi's that had been fitted to my knees.  From what I've seen, the only way a knee brace can have a chance of  preventing ACL tears , the brace needs to be attached to your boot.   Issue with that is if no flex lower in the leg, means the twisting is transferred above the knee which could result in a dislocation of the femur at the hip or a broken femur.   Since I tore mine while wearing CTI's,  I've changed over to wearing the Travis Pastrana / EVS type of knee protectors/sleeves.  Who knows what's best but I do know that I don't want to wear something that can result in a broken femur or dislocated hip.

Thanks, Mooch!  Sorry to hear about your injury.

I tore mine two months ago, along with my MCL and both meniscus.  I normally where the EVS TP199 style, but put on some lesser version I had because it wasn't supposed to be a challenging ride.  Since my surgery, I was told to buy some CTIs for any aggressive activities in the future, like skiing, mx, etc.

I know the grass is always greener, but man it takes forever to heal from tears.

Personal decision for everyone to make but since CTI braces didn't prevent my ACL injury...I don't want to wear a brace that could potentially increase the chances of a broken femur (life threatening) or a dislocated hip (way more pain than a torn ACL).

Get well soon, Chance! The 250 class went from lackluster to boring. Fingers crossed SOMEONE can challenge Deegan.
