The DOGE project is massively needed in this country...we absolutely cannot continue down the fiscal path we are on...it has to end. Massive cuts need to happen everywhere in government, and it will be painful, but necessary...otherwise we are just speeding toward economic collapse...and nobody wants that, but nobody in power is willing to do enough to prevent it.
Everyone agrees we can't stay on this current fiscal path...so find me one exit strategy from the fiscal mess this country is in that doesn't involve massive spending cuts? Oh...tax the rich at 100%, that will fix it...

Everyone agrees we need to cut spending. But Elon has always been a bullshit artist that over promises and under delivers. Nobody hates elon for trying to save the country money. We just knew it would be smoke and mirrors because that’s his way of doing business. So color us shocked when the overwhelming majority of the ‘savings’ he found for us were either grossly overstated and or already in place before he got in there. And then he somehow got awarded tons more government contracts at the same time. We all want to get the country back on track financially but we need someone who didn’t become the richest human on earth in large part because of government contracts, programs, and subsidies.

Does this seem a little off to anyone else? Even by Trump and Musk standards, these two are hamming it up big time. There's also a huge portion of the population that both of them know will ignore pretty much everything in their life to sit back and watch the show. It feels like a distraction. Even if the nucleus of this fight is genuine, the shit slinging is way out of proportion.

Nobody should be surprised that Trump is "in the Epstein files". He was friends with Epstein, that's no secret.. He is even on record decades ago saying that Epstein, likes beautiful women, and that he likes them young.. But that tells us nothing about what, if any, involvement Trump had in any illicit activities. I'm far from Trump's biggest fan, but FFS, we know exactly as much now as we knew before Musk's tweet.
That these two will feud in public instead of private like "sensible' politicians also should surprise nobody. Neither is known for their restraint. When something arouses Trump's ire, he can't help but lash out - he's not capable of remaining silent. Musk is full of ketamine and god knows what else, and that's not a recipe for sober judgment. They're both narcissists who crave attention, and they're getting it, and neither wants to be outdone by the other. Might as well enjoy the show. The bureaucrats who actually run the government will continue to do their jobs.
