The crash he hit false neutral, that happens. But chases decision making skills are quite bad at times.

Minus his bizarre moments , he would be the guy to challenge jett. Pretty much up to Eli now

We all knew Sexton would tuck the front under.

J Coop, has always got one good moto in him.

Hunter was always going to be 3rd or 4th.

Did anyone really thing Eli was going to pass Jett.

I thought Eli may have gotten past but I figured he’d have got passed back. He was using so much energy and it really did look like his bike was beating the hell out of him , jett looked effortless.

If we lost Chase after one round, god fucking damn it.

I don't agree, he was stupid, his vision was compromised, he was distracted and he crashed.

He should have stopped for goggles straight away. Then he may have had 20 + points for the day if he did.

Hard to disagree with this.

Jett, Eli and co may have been too far away after the goggle change but Chase would have had plenty of time to get back up to probably 5-6th which would have given him 16/17 points.  Not to mention the risk factor - most likely he wouldn’t have held off Eli and then he’s copping roost with no goggles.

Hard to say his crash was a direct result of no goggles but it’s highly feasible something else would have happened instead.

Big fan of Eli, but it's hard to expect a 32 year old to compete with an elite 21 year old (Jett).

In all fairness to Chase, in the heat of the moment, taking 10 seconds to grab new goggles seems like a minute.  Im sure he realizes this now.
Hope he is healthy for next week.

Also, fun to see all the foreign ridera in the mix.  Says something about mx in the states.

Great first ride for Paturel, top 10 is better than I would think even the team expected. Great to see so many riders from abroad giving the USA series a shot, lots of top 20 rides from the former GP guys.

RJ fresh off wrist surgery, decent results and didn't crash so that's a win for his 450 outdoor debut.

Sexton mental games continue.

Kitchen, first moto sat in the mid-teens almost all moto until the end came back for 10th so he had fitness but what happened to speed? Bike issues 2nd moto but he was not in contention that moto either prior to the DNF.

Was hoping for more from Vohland, but he just didn't have the starts (or the speed).

Good to see that Eli still has the fire.

32 is young. He looks to be riding in his prime right now.
Dungey looked good coming out of a 6 year retirement just a few years ago.

His team didn’t direct him to come in for goggles until the lap he crashed on, so they must be stupid too?

my point is dirt bike racing general you can get hurt at any point & time don’t matter the discipline whether its a supercross track or a outdoor motocross track , so why shit on a discipline when some claim their a fan of the sport as a whole 🤔

Not in this sport (or most sports for that matter).

Disappointed with Prado I expected him to be beating Hunter and Cooper.

With 250s Disappointed with Ryder D, I still believe in him just don't know if he believes in himself.

Biggest disappointment - easily the Chase situation no one wants the talent pool watered down in the first moto of round 1. Such a bummer.

Also, I thought Prado would have done a bit better. I don't think it's fair to expect him to be up with Eli or Jett yet, but I think he should have been in the Hunter/AP mix.

Biggest surprise - RJ, Anderson, and Webb all rode better than I expected them to this weekend. Guillod crushed it.

I expected more from Prado, but he started back both motos, on a new bike, new series.

I'm sure he will get better.

Chase on the other hand.  Damnit.  That probably killed the series 10 minutes into it.

I would be disappointed is Prado wasn’t coming off an injury, if that was his performance after a healthy full SX then I’d be scratching my head a bit. I think a bit more time on the bike setup and he’ll be right there on the podium.

In the GP's you can almost afford a round off or 2 because the series is almost twice the length of the Nationals. I don't think you have that luxury in the nationals. Maybe this set up of 11 rounds, all out attack, just won't suit Prado..

Him being 50 seconds behind Jett was both my biggest surprise and disappointment. He will get better for sure, and have some really good rides no doubt about it, but I just can't see him ever being the force he was over here.

Jett is SeabiscuitV3.0. Not a surprise or disappointment. Just a fact.

Surprise- Jo, jett 1-1 after an acl, eli being in the mix for wins/podiums this early in the season. RJ, Anderson, Tom.

Dissapooinments- Levi, JMart, Chase, Hunter being dropped by 20 seconds.

It just seems so freakish that Chases goggles got wrecked. What have you guys encountered with your goggles and damage? I'm pretty we won't hear what happened to Chases goggles.

Prado, thought he would be closer to the front.  He’s coming off an injury sure, but so was Tomac and the Lawrence’s !

Chase, I thought he would challenge Jett/ tomac.  Just seems like a different rider when #18 is on the line…

Biggest surprise for me was first, second and third on the podium were all coming back from injury.

Biggest disappointment was Chase going down.

On 250, not my biggest surprise, but happy JM6 finished both Motos, was he last factory supported rider on the finish order?

Same, I thought Prado would have done better, maybe not a win but atleast around the top 3 and not a minute down the track. I remember a prime Herlings coming here on a new track, with a different bike and immediately being up front.

Oh fuck don’t mention the H word around here!!!

Yeah gee, I was thinking somewhere around 11-15 for his return.

What a kick in the guts and after saying he's going to take on the entire series

Surprised with how well Webb rode, he was making passes pretty fast especially in the second Moto, disappointed Stilez Robertson is such a bad dude but something happened to him AGAIN

Biggest surprise for me was Jett not favoring his knee at all. Not only was he throwing it out in corners like he was never hurt, but he was also dabbing it in corners similar to when he hurt it with no problems.

Biggest disappointment was definitely JMart. I wasn’t thinking he’d run with the top dogs, but 21st overall was not something I was expecting.

J Coop, has always got one good moto in him.

Hunter was always going to be 3rd or 4th.

All of this is accurate.

Surprise for me was RJ on 450s and Jo on 250s.  Great rides!

Disappointment for sure was Jorge.  He looked shocked in his post race interview.  I’d be willing to bet he’s never finished a minute behind the leaders in any race he’s ever finished in his entire career.

J-Mart was disappointing only because he rides with the fastest guys in the class and I can’t believe he would have bothered to come back if he was that far off the pace.

Yeah got to be Jorge for me.

You'd expect him to at least be in the top 5 - but it isn't so much the position as the gap... He wasn't on Jett's level after Saturday for most of the MXDN last year either but at least somewhat in the mix (same at Ernee a yr prior to that). This time not even in the same zip code. I don't think Pala is a great track for riders that have honed their skills on the GP circuit but still...
