So looks like the west title may get wrapped up this weekend. Who takes the East ?! Id like to see Seth get it since PC hasn't had one in awhile.

Who's your pick ?

I'm with you on that. Hampshire and Vialle already have titles; let's see a new champ and a new #1 on the PC truck.

I’d love to see Mitch add another plate to the door

First pick would be RJ for me, because it’s his last time on 250, he is older and such a likeable guy.

Second pick would be Seth for me, because all the reasons already stated.

I think we all wanna see Mitch with a big smile. With how much he continues to support the sport, he deserves it. Not saying the other teams don't, but they don't have a single figure head like Mitch that has invested in the ways that he has. Hope Seth puts another #1 plate on the door.

Heart says Hammaker, to give mitch a title after what he’s went through these past few years would be amazing. Brain says RJ because he was in this same situation last year.

Before last weekend I'd have said 100% Seth. Now I'm not so sure. Could come down to the whoops. If they're not jumpers I don't think Vialle has a chance. But E/W race could shake things up too.

Kinda hoping that Deegan has a bad race this weekend and the gap goes down to 7-8 pts. He'd have to really have a shitty race though to give up 10 points in this field.

West isn't over yet, and we all know anything can happen. The math says even if Davies wins both races and Deegan gets 5th in both, then Deegan still wins, but east/west race as the final could throw up some surprises. Personally I hope Davies wins the series somehow.

East, on one hand I want to see Vialle win, but it would also be awesome to see Hammaker and PC/Mitch finally get another championship after all the shit that team has been through over the last few years. I don't think many people, myself included, had Seth being this fast, winning races and in contention with one round to go.

Like said above, Seth needs this one for himself and Mitch. The other two guys have a title each.

Of the three title contenders I'd say Seth has the best chance. He is on a all time high in his career and his riding lately suggests that he has a little extra over RJ and Vialle.

These guys are going to be settling the matter in a East / West shootout which is going to be crazy.

We are in for a treat.

Mitch Payton truly is one of the god fathers of this sport.
I hope Seth brings it home for him.

but part of me wants Vialle to win, just to throw 450 silly season off even more and really shake up the movement

This is the first series in a long time where I’m genuinely big fans of every single person in the championship fight, and I’ve had to step back to remember to appreciate how insane this series is a couple times. I’ve got Vialle but I think my heart wants to see Hammaker, and he has just as much of a chance. It feels like all 3 have an absolutely even chance

Also I’ve been telling my friends all year, Vialle was a PANTHER in MXGP, he’s absolutely not out of this fight until the final round rings and I’m so stoked to see him make a statement with a win this past week

I am pulling  for Hammakers… looked like he was going to fade away but kept grinding..…..Vialle & RJ already have a regional title…anybody but Deegan in the west….

It would take a real meltdown from Deegz to lose this. I dont see it happening.

I hope Seth can pull it out. We dont know how he's going to deal with the pressure and we've seen RJ deliver last year.

Hoping Seth gets it.

Deegan could win out. But wow what an underwhelming SX season for him. Cole Davies is one win off Deegs total SX wins ever. If he was on the other coast, he simply wouldn't be champion. He is beginning to remind me of Jmart. But he will get the SX title ticked off. If he wins out, than that could change things

If RJ and Vialle don't get the back to back titles. How will that effect their team for Next year. Or are they already signed up? (450)

He hardly delivered, nothing against RJ (or you) but Kitchen just didn't get that great a start and couldn't make passes when it mattered.

RJ and Vialle are on the same coast, so there's no way they can both go back to back. As for their 450 careers, RJ's going to ride one starting outdoors this year regardless if he wins the c-ship or not. If Vialle wins, he'll be forced to move up. If that happens, and KTM manages to score Eli, I would assume they would either move him to Husky, or just go with JuJu as their sole 250 guy and have 3 guys on 450s.

I thought I heard RJ was sitting out the summer due to his injury?

Just did a search and saw a Vital video from a couple of weeks ago saying he might, but haven't heard anything beyond that, so who knows?

'He is older' is an understatement. That old sandbagger is old enough to be the grandfather of most of the people in the class - apart from his geriatric comrades Smith and Anstie.

both titles coming down to be decided in a E/W shootout would be insane

Whoever wins east would have the lowest point score of a champion in history, the results have been all over the shop. Has Seth only been on the podium twice ?

I’m hoping Seth- nerves might get to him, RJ could do it with a decent start- he’ll send it. Vialle wasn’t great at salt lake last year, might be an issue with the hard pack?

Davies will win out, Deegz will just look to wrap it safely and move onto defend outdoors.

Vialle: 5 podiums (1 win)
Seth:  3 podiums (2 wins)
RJ:     5 podiums (1 win)

They all had one really bad race aswell though, their worst finish:
Vialle: DNF
Seth:  17th
RJ:     18th

Vialle did everything he could to not fumble his championship at the last round last year, that's only why he was off pace imo, don't think it had anything to do with the soil.

I really hope these guys practice starts in the meantime, that's probably the most important thing next weekend, specially in a shootout. Been a huge Vialle fan for a couple years now.. but would be completely fine with Seth getting it done aswell, not only for Seth but also for Mitch!

Do we think those three will keep it clean or are we expecting some Osborne/Savatgy kind of shit if the opportunity arises?

I love shootouts, but I don’t love when you have coasts racing each other during a winner take all title fight. I’d rather see the east guys race for their title, not have west guys in the mix and vice versa

Seth also went 9-1-1 at the triple crown for 4th overall. In my opinion he's been the outright fastest guy all year in the east.

Tom had a big enough buffer last year to cruise and not push, he doesn't have that luxury this time around.

RJ could go any way, he's always unpredictable. Could holeshot and control with authority, or could completely grenade himself...

I feel like out of the 3 guys, Seth is more inclined to go with the "F it" approach and just go all out. If he gets to the stripe in the top 5 after the gate drop, I think it's over

I want Seth to get it, he looks the fastest of the bunch plus adding one for Mitch would be cool. If Seth does get it, he’s got a year to defend then he’s shopping for a 450 ride correct?
