I'm a bit conflicted about this Ring-Dang-Do.   Daniel is likable while Ricky is a hard ass.  I'd much rather have Daniel in the booth.  Ricky is a kick ass winner who is proving to be just as effective as a BS corporate guy,  Ricky might end up overplaying his hand if Feld and NBC suffer as a result of his hard ass ways.

None of them will. They will keep subscribing and watching and clicking and posting and commenting and calling in. And that’s exactly why the industry doesn’t give a fuck what the fans want.

This is random as heck but I just wonder if anyone else noticed it.  They used Daniel/Vincent Blair's band's (Main Event) song, "Burning Inside" during the first track preview on RDL.  It's a rip of the melody but that's their song.  I've loved this song since it was in a TWMX video back in the day.

I have a hard time thinking that was on accident 😆   Jumbled post I know, hope it made sense.  I ain't nuts but I do love music.

I’m sneaking into an after party instead of watching SX tonight, NBC can lose my singular view. Hopefully that makes a difference, I’ll rewatch the reuploads

I will be watching. But I couldn't care less who is commentating, and I'm not in on the witch hunt for RC.

Giving my own post a thumbs up. 👍

I don't watch the live races anymore.     This way I can skip over all the BS and just watch the racing.    Don't really give a crap about who's in the booth.   The only drawback is having to hit mute when Shrill comes on.

All of this freakout is just lame.

Years ago I was told a phrase, “Believe nothing that you hear and only about half of what you read”.  There’s some semblance of truth to that. We likely will never know the full unedited truth to what went down.  I’m sure there are some BS dealings in the industry, hell every industry has some form of BS dealings.  I’m getting too old to listen to all the “he said, she said” childhood crap.  I really just tune out the nonsense and just try to put my focus on watching some racing.  Honestly, if there was no one in the booth at all and they just showed motorcycles racing around the track I’d be fine with that.  Now I gotta go listen to the regularly scheduled BS in my life.  Have a good one my moto friends!

I do t know if this is a vital chop up again but I'm pretty sure the saying is "believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see"

RC holds a lot of power it seems. Lap dancing Matthes, Insecure career driven waffle self-admiited Cog in the system $JT, Network indentured Weege, and many more will polish the Turds of the industry rather than standing up for whats RIGHT!

This is what has pissed almost an entirely united moto fan base.

Grow a set of balls MX industry and call the fucking SPADE A SPADE!

RC and Diffey are demented Weak men.

The old fire service was the same. The only thing off limits was you wife and family. If you couldn't take the shit you were given around the kitchen table, how were you going to take the shit you were going to see and hear in an emergency? Today's generation doesn't get that at all and there is a whole bureau in place to help kids get in touch with their feelings, emotional support dogs and drum circles or some shit.

I get the impression you didn't listen to Blairs message. Blair's problem wasn't just good natured brow beating. Between Feld, NBC, Producers, Diffey, and Carmichael he was constantly getting mixed signals of his career path, performance, duties, and technique. Berated and praised both. Personal attacks from the producer as well. I am an employer in the "trades" and as I was listening to the shit he put up with, you never do that to employees. And of the "taking shit" when Blair did, it was on national TV insulting his job performance not a kitchen table.

Didn’t both Foyt and Andretti win the Daytona 500?

Either way, I wish that I’d have had 10% of the talent of either of them and it sounds like they became pretty decent friends in their old age.

Ive talked with AJ for hours about him and the "EYE-talian" and have first hand insight on all that but would never post it on a message board.  🙂

You are right on Marios win at that race,  thanks for the correction.

I can't think of anything more trivial and irrelevant. Ricky Carmichael is by far the greatest rider to ever throw a leg over a dirt bike. However, I dont need him or any broadcaster or commentator to dictate, influence or even have any affect at all on my enjoyment of watching a race.

I love the sport, the exact same, regardless of who is broadcasting, and I also don't care at all what the riders "say" at pressers or during post race interviews.

Yet 75 % of the space on SX/MX social chat forums are full of broadcasting topics and scuttle about rider interviews.

It's as if the majority of the sport's fan base are a bunch of teenaged girls.

I would argue the opposite was true tonight. He said more random nonsensical things than usual, and literally lost his train of thought more than once. It was awkward at times.

There is just a disconnect between his brain and mouth at times. Tonight, I think he tried to say, “..he needs to focus on the big picture and go get it,” but he ended up saying, “..you gotta go get the picture.” Lol

Let's face it he was really bad tonight. He sounded semi normal in the post race show though so there's that. Guess he calms down when it's not a must situation.
