He had some choice words for Bobby Reagan on the podium.
I dont know how patient Bobby is, but if one of my employees blew me out on national television like that, we'd be having a serious discussion about whether or not he really wanted to be here anymore.
Max got screwed but taking your anger out on your boss is not the best decision.
No
Huh
Or. Is Star on thin ice with Max?

It's pretty common in pro sports. Michael Jordan hated Jerry Krause (Bulls GM) and was public with it. Max is the best rider on the east coast for Star. He has job security. Glad he also has the balls to speak his mind
He said if Bobby isn't going to show up at the races then he has no right to call him on race day and question him.
Can a brother hook me up? What did he say?
Edit: just saw Kage’s post
Bobby known for slow thought out decisions..... Max shouldn't have said that.
I’m going to assume a bit here and I hope it makes sense.
It’s ridiculous when people in our sport assume they’re sports psychologists or something and thinking they know how to push athletes by beating them down.
I get that Bobby has owned race teams and may have a background in racing his entire life, but you can’t assume that being a huge prick to your employees is the best way to get 100% out of them. That’s some outdated bs. I’m a business owner and the best way to be the boss to my 10ish employees is to change the way I lead for each of them. Max was going to win tonight whether his dickhead boss said whatever he said or not. That mindset of being a dick and “I was motivating you” is for Neanderthals.
Goes right along with moto dads who couldn’t ride an inside rut if their life depended on it, and yelling at their kid to jump shit a 65 has no chance of making.
wasn’t in the room for Max’s interview, can someone give me the run down on what he said?
Watch the press conference max said bobby loved it and was trying to fire max up
I tried to post the answer to this question that was answered on the after race presser, but this janky website is apparently having issues... forward to 22:16 of the 250 guys, which is the 2nd half ..

ps. I doubt that the Star Racing east coast race winner and points leader is on "thin ice"
We are so soft as a society now.
Who owns a race team and doesn't go to the races?
I don’t blame him for avoiding Detroit
He's old and fat and has been at it a long time. He's earned the right.
Max was adamant that its all good in his interview with Lewis. Just a bit of banter
If I’m Anstie’s boss and I hear him say that, I’m not letting my ego get in the way and I’m stoked he’s in such a good head space. Max displayed champion mentality in that moment.
Pit Row
Bobby will laugh all the way to the bank no matter what Max says about him if he keeps winning him races.
Nothing to see here but some team grabass...
It was hard to tell if Max was mad or not. Everyone who heard the interview was like, “What was that about?” It didn’t help that Max wasn’t smiling after he sad it. It implied some friction there with “Bobby”. Glad it got cleared up though.
People are making way more of this than it was.
Yeah he's going to fire a guy that is leading the 250E championship, the guy who is the best right now in the East division, and maybe the best 250SX rider right now, but he's going to keep guys like Craig in the payroll, if Bobby actually thinks about firing Max after this, I must say that for a Team that has this "Tough American Team" attitude, Bobby has a very soft skin.
It used to be a long, long time ago in a land far, far away that people didn't get so grievously injured by contrary statements or name-calling. It was part of the way people interacted and communicated. Insults, derision, questioning, back and forths were part of our language. Now in the world of flat brimmed, tattooed, blue dyed haired inhabitants mentioning to someone they have lettuce in their teeth can lead to 18 months therapy and a prescription. It's a different world.
The points leader that basically just went 1-1 to start the season in one of the most competitive 250 classes ever in on thin ice? Huh?
The second best star rider sits 3rd in points in a field half as strong and probably gets paid a good amount more than Max
Things change. Also, most people aren’t like that, that’s a minority. Especially blue hair. I go to Seattle almost every weekend and I think I’ve only seen one blue haired head in the last 6 months (not counting this group of Seahawks fans, 2 were blue and 2 were dyed green but it was clearly in the spirit of football)
Judging by how deep the East is, Max does seem like the best 250 sx rider.
Max has hit that age where he says what is on his mind.
Good for him—-it’s liberating when you have the talent to support being a free spirit. He seems to be in a good head space and appropriately dialed. 💪👈🏁
Why? Do you not enjoy a quiet downtown? I don’t know the man. Perhaps he doesn’t like drinking, dining or staying in one of the many restored buildings? Or is it the excellent museums that put him off going?
Yeah, I heard him say what he said, and I'm thinking dam, who is Bobby? Owner of the team.....yeah, if Max was serious, and he looked like it,..than calling out your boss like that on the podium is low grade.
