Titles are just that... titles. This is the coolest and most fluid team I've ever been a part of. The entire group is moving forward in the same direction. When decisions need made or tasks need done we discuss and take action with the best person for the job and the direction the team agrees upon. It's pretty incredible honestly to have so much talent without egos working on a common goal... create the best motocross sim game ever that will revolutionize motocross esports and competition.
I know there have been a lot questions about the physics and how they work within the Unreal engine, so I got some more info from the team.
The Virtual Motocross Simulation (VMS) physics engine is built 100% from the ground up based on real-life chassis, suspension and engine data to create a hyper-realistic feeling of being behind the handlebars. MTG brings additional innovation by applying physics to the rider and finally taking into account rider weight and using true physics based motion. Racers will have more precision and control than ever seen in a motocross title running inside the Unreal Engine 5 to provide an immersive experience as you race around realistic and replica tracks. Develop your own riding style on the ground and in the air where you can expect total control over the bike to whip and scrub freely.
Sounds pretty cool. I gave up on mx video games once the physics on the console games went to hell… and everybody knew and said they went to hell… and yet they never fixed them and kept putting out the same crappy ass game over and over. I always had a macbook so never tried mx sim or mx bikes but the physics of those games always looked sooo good to watch. They looked like the way its supposed to be. Cant wait to see what the latest and greatest will look like, I may have to get a gaming pc since gta6 is also coming out next year. Looks like some good games will be out sooon and ill have to get back into it.
I gave up and quit my job for the same reason. It wasn't the game I wanted to make. Not saying they are bad, just not my style.
I've turned down a lot of offers to work on other projects. I said yes to this one because I truly believe it can finally be a reality to see my dream moto game come to life.
Well sir, you guys have our attention.
The funny thing will be when the other developers see how successful this is and how much people love it and then they'll kick themselves for trying to appeal to non mx fans by being arcade.
It's not like we haven't been telling them over and over what we want. Someone has finally listened (for non pc gamers out there that is). All the best going forward! Can't wait to learn more/see more and eventually get my hands on it. I'm sure a lot of folks feel the same too!

Glad to hear about the physics. The latest atv vs mx game physics are garbage in my opinion. I much prefer the rider and bike physics from All Out. I feel that’s the best modern day console MX game. Has a more free feeling to it.
The one thing I couldn’t stand was when they introduced the preformed ruts. It ruined so many good tracks. I hope you all don’t introduce that to this game. I never played MX Bikes, but from the videos I saw, it looks like a fun game! Glad to see this type of game coming to the console!
PS how much do I have to donate in order for you guys to add weapons for the riders like bats and chains like the old road rash games? Think it would be sick.
😂
Is there Game Play or something other than a cinematic, maybe people could feel better about getting behind the game with finances.
I heard they are working on getting that out sooner than later. I am also wanting to see some gameplay before donating. Checkerz, feel free to correct me if I am wrong(I am the same person on discord, but without the _.)
At 44 and a die hard reflex game player in my single 20’s, the wife is going to be so pissed at this game if it is as good as it seems. She already hates madskills 😂😂💀
Is there a release date?
November of next year, but that could be earlier or later depending on their development.
My son has already asked for the game.
Coming from someone that played thousands of hours of Mxvsatv Unleashed and Mx simulator, I can't wait for this one to drop
Would be great if Chex or someone from the team can post regular updates in this topic
RD is business development lead. Has nothing to do with development as in programming if thats what u think.
I'm here! As with any on-going project I can only share so much info as we're still in development and don't want to promise something that may change. I'll answer what I can of course.
RD is on the business side, but he's also an avid fan and a great person to connect the audience/fans and the development team together and steer the project in the proper direction. While all of the "faces" you saw announced with the title came from the community, RD and I both are definitely very active and accessible and less behind the scenes. One thing we definitely didn't really clarify is the VMX team is loaded with experienced talent. In addition to the faces of the project many in the motocross gaming community are already very familiar with, behind the scenes VMX has enlisted a studio with a half dozen experienced developers to be dedicated to the project. Currently the team has 20 high level developers actively contributing to the project. The goal of the kickstarter is to expand the team even further to bring additional features and the whole project in a playable beta state to everyone more quickly.
This is going to be a long wait only because I can't wait for this to get released! Already on my Steam wishlist. The beta can't be released fast enough, haha!
The only way they can beat MX Bikes. Is to make MX Bikes with swappable components, gear sets, FONT STYLES, bike graphics, instead of just an entire Bike skin with wheels included. Good to see new games coming out. I just don't wanna see a flop.
This team is the majority of reasons MXBikes is anything today. Bikes would be 100% dead without community created content like OEM bikes, ARL tracks and series, the mod sites and shops, killer tracks, killer models, improved over vanilla physics, and other things the MTG production team has provided. If they can prop up MXBikes to make it into what it is today, then I have no doubts in their success with their own project.

You have to try MX Bikes, it’s real good
I'm sure it is, but I'm not a PC guy. I don't have enough use to build one.
Just buy a laptop you'll use for other things and make sure it has the right graphics requirements for gaming. That's what I did. Cost me $1800, but at least I know this thing will last a while and handle most games graphics.
I have a lenovo ideapad flex 5, with a samsung 1TB ssd, and it runs mx bikes fine, as long as it is propped up at an angle on something so the vents have some air flow. It runs mx bikes fine without reshade. I get fps drops sometimes, I reinstalled maxhud, and to get as much fps as I can, I turned off shaders, I will eventually play around with texture detail and the other two settings next to texture detail.
Have you revisited MX vs ATV Legends lately? There have been a lot of updates to the physics among other things. It’s no MX sim or MX Bikes, but it’s a lot better than it was.
Every time they promised a new physics update that made it better, to me, it just made it worse and unplayable. I shouldn't of said the physics are garbage, I uninstalled it after that freeride compound at the Goat Farm was introduced and physics were updated. Even after that update I just couldn't get into it. So I uninstalled it went back to All out and haven't tried since. I spent a lot of hours in Legends trying to get it dialed, but in the end I went back to All Out as I couldn't stand the rider and bike physics. The All Out compound is entertaining, at least to me anyways. The bigger SX track is fun to try new lines and set hot laps.
I spent a lot of time in MX Sim, then had a massive hardware failure. I ended up getting a Mac, wanted to try something different, only to find out MX Sim and Bikes doesn't work on Mac. My wife got me a Series X for Christmas a couple of years ago. Started playing my console more and more and never went back to PC gaming.
So I'm excited for this new game to hit the console and see some actual gameplay footage. I may have to check out Legends again in the meantime.
This game will be great if they add some diversity to the team.
My favorite is MXGP3. I tried Reflex and the older games by them. As well as the MX Bikes and MX Sim and I still come back to MXGP3 for me personally. I there are very specific suspension settings I use to make the bikes turn and work better but by far the best balance of realism/sim and arcade.
Have you tried MXGP3? Blows the doors off Reflex for me.
If you play MX Bikes, you will have a use for a pc
I'm interested enough so will probably back this but trying not to be debbie downer...the Kickstarter pace isn't exactly setting the world on fire right now. Kickstarters usually get most of their funding at the beginning and end of the period.
At current pace it might reach the all or nothing goal but I can't see it reaching a single stretch goal.
Will any unfunded stretch goals be added down the line? I see this will have a subscription based funding model.
I'm most interested in cross play, track deformation, licensed bikes and track editor.
I wish you all the best.
I am kinda surprised they went for the ‘All or Nothing’ approach too. Seems like this project would want any support they could get? Maybe someone will chime in.
