Got a cabin booked already

Went to book a hotel and all the hotels, VRBOs and AirBnBs are sold out already. Must be they gave a heads up to the various federations and they booked them all before the public could. 

When do tickets go on sale? It’s going to be a massive event. 

American riders will lineup for the chance to ride this one. 

I think we have known it will be at Ironman since about march haven’t we? I don’t think it was a secret. Just wasn’t officially announced 

I found a few decent vrbo in town last week but waited til a date was official, saw the announcement 20 min after it was made and immediately went to look, vrbo was sold out, and all that was left on air bnb was a creepy Victorian room, and the cabin 30 min away that I just booked. Thought about checking for a cheaper hotel room in town but apparently that's no longer an option!

3 weeks ago with this being somewhat known I looked at hotels and tons were already booked so that told me what i thought. Grabbed Hampton Inn south of Indy about an hour from the track for under $200 a night. Can always change but at least its something.

It’s not egging it on when it is the truth. It’s all people are going to complain about IF he races it next year! And if he doesn’t, they’ll continue to say he hates America. It is what it is!

Would love to get over there for this. Might have to see what strings I can pull.

I only live about 2 and half hours away, wonder how hard it will be to get camping spot or get a hotel in Terre haute or just make the drive from my house, gonna be my first mxon and I am pumped it's this close 

If you stay by the airport, you'll be fine.  It is only an hour away.

Can’t wait to attend.

Being in the USA, I’ll doubt we’ll get to see Gajser as the Slovenian federation normally can’t afford the travel.

Was on looking at Crawfordsville hotels there, only one available was the super 8,  would be coming from UK so what’s the best areas to stay that are driving distance ? Also where is best to fly into ? Thanks 

Dayton area would be a good option just 160 miles drive 2 and a half hours drive 

Yes, I talked to them as well today. Got my tickets today. I’ll drive the 2.5 hours for that price.
