I dont want to be bitching but Id just like a quality show to watch. Lots of motorsports have actual quality broadcasts. Moto not so much, and they wonder why the sport doesn’t grow. It’s an embarrassing depiction of the sports participants. Yeah I know we are mostly red necks but come on.
Not personally trying to hate on RC, but we need better for the rest of the world to hear if bringing more people in is the goal. And I’m not even sure that’s the goal .

Mostly red necks, lol

It’s amazing the amount of people that bitch about this insignificant bullshit.  Fucking babies.  Apply or shut up.

Just watching second moto replays right now because I couldn't catch them yesterday. RC sounds way more relaxed and doesn't constantly try to talk. Way better than usual imo.
Also haven't heard "inside outside" or "the reason that is" so far. 😂

Cut the guy some slack. He was home schooled with Jeannie’s strap. I don’t think English for Everyone was in her toolbox.

His first language is Floridian but his English has really improved to be honest. He wasn't bad this weekend.

It's getting a bit old pissing and moaning about RC. Most would be fawning over seeing the GOAT in real life. "Hey Ricky, can we take...

Awesome racer and honestly his podcast is good. Terrible announcer. He coukd stay home and they could play his same soundtrack every week. NBC would save a pile of cash. Disrespectful now to say someone sucks at their job? Maybe that’s why so many people suck at their jobs?

I’ve said it before, what do people not understand? He’s a great guy but pro motorcycle racers are uneducated hicks..

I thought he did alright today.

He was generally better.  It sounded like he'd had some kind of light sedative which made him much more relaxed.

I thought he did alright today.

RC is an easy target. He’s the GOAT as a racer, but not necessarily as an announcer…but his deep well of knowledge and information are an asset to the broadcast IMO.

I was thinking Ricky did well today too. He had slowed down some and was more introspective.

I would much rather hear the racing from former racers than tv people.

I was literally sitting on the beach , watching on my phone with my son. Thinking , what a world we live in these days.

Remember holding the tinfoil just right on the bunny ears ?

Creating yet another thread exactly the same as somebody else does every week, says more about how dull you are than anything else. No Ricky isn’t the best we’ve ever had in the booth but it’s easy to listen to and certainly doesn’t justify yet another of these threads…

Agreed.  I thought Ricky was awesome right around the time he mentioned that he hates when JT and weege talk about his money and success which was about the time you are talking about.  After that he just spoke normal and it was a great broad cast.

RC needs to “slow down to go faster”. A pause of silence when speaking is much better than rambling and  stumbling on your words.

Concussion

No School

When at school dreaming of MOTO

Cash

Solitude

Maybe some of the reasons that RIcky talks like that on the broadcast.  I really don't think he's that bad, people put to much on the the broadcast team.  Turn your TV on mute.  If your gonna complain, complain about Will, Will-I-AM.  Holy shit, She talks way, way to much. Mute button for me.

Moto-Day Air Time:

JT - 3 1/2 minutes

Will - 19 Hours

Broadcast Team Grade:

Jason Weigandt ---------- 10

Jason Thomas -------------9.5 (Needs more air time)

James Stewart ------------- 9 (Hall of Famer)

Ricky Carmichael --------- 7 (Hall of Famer)

Will Christien --------------- 2 (18 hours 59 minutes less air time)

Adam Cianciarulo----------5 (With time, will be tied with Weig)

It seems like no one else is picking up on how irritable he was yesterday. He was irritable and defensive, and he was more reserved because of it. He reminded me of me when I'm hungover. I'm present, because I have an obligation, but I'm not myself.

I'm not even trying to fault him for this, because as I said, it's a relatable feeling for me. Takes one to know one, and I definitely noticed one of my people there.

Also not saying he was hungover, that's just when I usually feel like what he sounded like. I rarely drink though.

Just my 2 cents, could be way off. I found fascinating though. He also tried to take a jab at JT towards the end, and jt just didn't respond.

I had a PITA travel week (Wed & Sat) also and can vouch for it messing with your mindset.  As far as I’m concerned, the airlines are all FUBAR’d right now.  I’ve got kids & grandkids scattered across the country so I hope they get their act together soon because I’m getting too old for long ass drives to see them.

Yeah maybe he needs to fatigue himself on Fridays before the broadcast.  He did fairly well yesterday and didn’t seem all hopped up on Mountain Dew.

i noticed when he struggled for a word instead of blurting out something he actually stopped himself and waited while he searched out the word he was looking for. it was noticable and i think thats why others are pointing it out that he was better because he slowed down. hopefully we get this ricky in the future as its more tolerable.

All the announcers have been noticeably better since I joined Team Mute . So … good job … I guess?
