I thought AC already does a better job than JT.  All just my opinion.  Anytime someone, JT, says Jett is riding at 80% it rubs me so wrong.  It’s not only disrespectful to all of the other riders….but it’s total bullshit. That’s saying he would lap the field every 7 laps if he wanted… He would be able to qualify 13 seconds faster than anyone.  …..it’s a ball gargling comment.

Understood and maybe I could approach it differently but it also sounds a bit like you’re not a fan of Jett or maybe your favorite rider is a rival of his.

The simple fact is he is winning everything in sight. He’s won 28/32 motos and only lost one overall in his 450 career. Am I supposed to be unimpressed?

As for riding at 80%, that’s my opinion. I don’t think he’s healthy and I don’t think he can ride at 100% right now. Your opinion may vary.

4 people sucks. I had motion sickness from all the cutting to hear each persons perspective. But yes, Adam is better than anyone else. Rotate Adam in the booth we don’t need two on track reporters for god sakes.

I just wish the two guys in the box would pay more attention to what’s happening on the track and live timing; they miss so much because of the constant insignificant drivel.

Exactly, they’re all captain have-a-chat… maybe they should all just take notes and talk about it later on a podcast instead of ignoring the racing the racing the theorize.

When the racing itself seems like an imposition to the commentary team how would we expect a new fan ever get excited to watch the racing. Deep dive theories and on the fly have a chats, while a race is going on, is so friggin boring.

I’d wager she lurks this board….perhaps, even posts. How do I know? Well, I was talking to a team and they said…

I've always liked Will and her accent. That being said yesterday's crew was perfection.

How about when he is healthy you ask him to run a qualifying lap at 100% and lay down that 13-14 seconds faster than everybody else?  He may look like he is riding at 80% because he is smooth….but lap times when he is healthy, and running a hot lap, he is sometimes about a second faster. That should tell you the 80% comment is crack smoking level logic …..and maybe say 95%(which is still generous).  Also…Jett didn’t “let” Chases pass happen.  He fought hard and realized he couldn’t hang at that point in that moto so he backed it down…from 100%.  It is easy to blame the shoulder…and a lot harder to say it was mostly a fitness/conditioning difference on a brutal track.

The 80% is obviously a bit of hyperbole but there’s a lot of vitriol in your post. Remember, it’s just dirtbike racing in the end. The main point of the comment was that I don’t believe he is riding at full capacity. Was 80% too far? Ok, sure.

I hope your day gets better from here.

Our broadcast was better yesterday but then when you watch the mxgp race and listen to Paul malin it seems like amateur hour again!! He is flat out next level at calling the races and never misses anything going on during the race!! If the camera guys aren’t where the battles are he will call them out and watch how quickly they switch to the spot!!

I think the team did an awesome job yesterday and appreciate you being open to the fan boy comment above as it does shine through in the broadcast. I’ll suggest being cognizant of your subconscious bias towards Jett and not paint every single thing he does as some superhero in your delivery. Is he good, yes. are his records stellar, yes, but this year the analytics are proving that he is “human”.  He’s overridden the track, he’s hit the dirt, he’s being pressured , he fatigued etc. etc.  Keep in mind he rode all last summer with basically NO pressure. Sprint for 5 mins to the front and beyond then cruise for the next 25.  I don’t believe he can get away with that this year with a healthy Chase and, surprising to me, his brother willing to, and can, push the entire 30.  Great season thus far.

I mean, the OP isn't wrong. She brings almost nothing to the broadcast. I'm not saying she's trash, but she ain't good for moto.

She is good looking though.

All dudes on the broadcast but at least we have some new monster girls in the mix.

Will is just a woke, progressive, diversity hire. Just like the NFL having clueless women on the sidelines. Too bad she’s not a gay woman of color, then she’d check all the boxes.

Day is going great.  Thanks.  No vitriol.  I just find it incredibly insulting when by saying Jett is only pushing at 80% then you are implying the other riders 100% is…well…obviously 20% worse than Jett’s 100%.  That’s just stupid.  Everyone gets you really like Jett.  That’s fine.  He is an incredible rider…no question….but there are a lot of great riders.  Some that are a hell of a lot closer than 20% worse than Jett.  Especially Chase and Hunter so far.  If Jett were to really ride around at 80% I don’t think he would score a point.  Words matter…especially when your profession is now…well….words.  All just my opinion.  That and $12 will buy me a beer at the race.

Weege confirmed on the review pod that hey want it to be more conversational round table style and if they miss a pass on the track to not worry too much about it…

WTF? Why have a ‘play by play’ when the broadcast is intentionally not wanting play by play — again how are we expected to appeal to a new fan when the broadcast is barely interested in the action happening on the track?

backstory, chit chat and theories is for the core audience who wants to dig deeper, hence we listen to all the podcasts, but surely the broadcast should show an exciting sport to all audiences with a commentary team designed to add excitement and call the exciting action and not just chit chat and interrupt their chit chat with ‘oh yeah hunter just made a pass’ and back to the chit chat…

this week it was 3 analysts and a moderator… this is an incredible sport not a feckin geriatric presidential debate

Who would intentionally make the choice to make the sport tedious to watch for a new fan? I just don’t get it, surely someone can fill me in…

Paul Malin is perfection personified at calling a race. Do we really need to hear about Hunter buying a lizard….

Just quit watching it. I’m being serious. I was once a super fan. I didn’t miss a race. If I couldn’t watch the race live I stayed off social until I could watch it. Now I just catch the highlights.

IMO, Weege is the man! I like when he brings in some emotion to the broadcast... as this is a pretty exciting sport, right!?  AC did great and he'll get even better; I predict he'll be #2 guy very soon. JT is very good fit, as well.

Will would be fine in the right role, just not sure what that would be!

JT,  I appreciate your outreach to the common fan here in hopes of understanding every side of public opinion, but we all know that is a futile effort...

Legitimately, since the day you joined the broadcast it is quite apparent how intentional you are with your storylines and how you convey those to the audience.   I think you balance the line of fact and experience based opinions with conjecture incredibly well so keep doing what you're doing.

With Weege and Stew in the booth, and now AC joining alongside you, without a doubt we have the most intellectually stimulating broadcast team this sport has seen in the 30 years I've been following it... and it's freaking music to my ears.  Keep it up!!
