Is finally here!!

The CyberTruck will charge three Starks at the same time on fastest charge setting. We were riding at a friends private track until 7:30 last night. Didn't have to worry about pissing off any neighbors. Later in the summer it stays light until almost 10pm. It will be so nice to ride super late on hot days.
Using grid for charging:
CyberTruck costs $12 to drive 140 miles pulling the trailer. Starks cost about $1 for an hour's worth of riding.
Using $3500 worth of solar equipment to charge (12 400W panels and 6000XP inverter):
CyberTruck costs NOTHING to drive 140 miles pulling the trailer. Stark costs NOTHING for an hour's worth of riding.
Compare to my old way of towing/riding:
F350 diesel (10 MPG towing) costs $56 to drive 140 miles pulling the trailer. KTM costs $4 in fuel for an hours worth of riding and $50 per hour for pistons/valves (piston every 20 hours and valves every 40 hours per manual; parts cost only)

Just with the cool down payment of 80k for the Tesla , doubling your auto insurance and increasing your homeowners insurance because those evs burn houses to the ground with no warning and no way to put them out.
Who the fuck is putting piston and valves in their Ktm every 20 hours? Using retarded stats to support your argument is why this ev shit is complete bs.
you’ll have to drive to the moon and back to save the 80k truck price in fuel when your insurance is higher, your tires wear faster because the Tesla weigh a metric fuck ton, homeowners went up.
wanna do moto cheap? Get a used econobox for 8k with under 60k miles, tiny single rail trailer for next to nothing, get 30-40mpg and an rmz450 that will never need a piston, top end or anything besides oil and filters.
you would never be able to break even from your Tesla and stark cost, never.
The future of Moto that uses more energy to buy the dumb batteries and more harmful for our environment. But it is quiet and you can ride at night.

Sir, this is vital mx. Please don't post gay porn on the forum.
you are doing great things to ensure that this young child has a prosperous future free of deadly environmental pollution.
Brap on and prosper.
I'm not guna lie, I too would be very happy if I were in a position to have a Moto set up like that..... but it's not the future of the sport
The future of motocross is a $90k truck and $15k dirtbike?
Maybe for you and a niche part of the sport, but I don't think it's THE future.
Average price of 1500 pickup in 2024: $45k-55k
Cybertruck price: $90k~
So already double the price..
Average sold 450 price: $8000
Stark price: $15k
You're tits up before you even start BUD. EV's are almost always double the price of the standard models. EV politics are complete garbage. And you're not saving the planet with them.
Yup, very nice setup. Super pricey at the moment but it will become more reasonable. In 2010, could you imagine spending $13k for a stock bike? No way, but now that's just the reality.
EV's will become more affordable for the average customer, and all of the naysayers of electric moto will eventually see that it simply comes down to performance. On the track, regardless of how they're charged, eMotos like the Varg are simply better bikes in almost every category. Weight, charging times and relative costs will decrease, range, rideability (not in the real dictionary, but in the moto dictionary) and reliability will only increase, and the latter two aspects are already pretty damn good.
Nice horse trailer.....
If this is the future of the sport, count me and a large majority priced out. Damn that’s sad.
I think being able to ride on a private track next to houses will be HUGE for e-bikes AND to grow the sport.
I have 5 acres with all my neighbors around me having 5 acre plots also. If i put a track on my place, ...like Id love to...my neighbors would freak if I started moto-ing on an engine bike.
The e-bikes being quiet, not emissions or maintenance costs is the real advantage.
Sounds like your E truck is better at towing than the Ford E truck.
As for truck costs have you guys looked at todays gas/diesel truck prices? Its really not that far off.
You don’t need a diesel to haul a 240lb dirtbike.
maybe some people’s egos, but not the dirtbike and some gear.
If the noise don't bother them the dust will, most of these (I don't want you enjoying your home more than me, types) will find something to complain about.... Hopefully your neighbours are cool though.
But pricing the sport out of reach will not grow the sport....
Pit Row
Everyone so hyper focused on the cost, but the important part was being able to ride until 10pm without upsetting the neighbors.
OP- Should have left out all the cost comparison..that’s a losing argument. But you’ll never lose an argument based on the noise factor..Dust a factor, but less than noise and relatively fixable. No way to fix a 450s noise..
I am not quick to hate on any type of MX, however , the tesla truck is UGLY as fk! I saw one the other day on the interstate. Im not sure an uglier vehicle is even possible to make. I like some of the Tesla hot rod cars, even drove a buddys a few times. They are fast as hell! I am just not interested in any version of E-MX. Some guys have been bringing E-Ride Motos and Talarias down to my track to ride lately. They are jumping everything and can corner fast too. But, its just not my thing. I love the sound and feel of a real MX bike. No substitutes for me in that regard.
Or ... hear me out....
I bought a Ford Maverick Hybrid for $27000 OTD, I have a $3000 RM250.
It will take you approximately 30 years to recoup the cost saving in fuel for your cyber truck (my truck gets 27 mpg while pulling my enclosed trailer and 38 when empty). And it will never be cheaper to own your Varg than my old bike.
While I think the Varg's are sweet the Cyber truck is full of issues and way too damn expensive and impractical.
This. OP has a nice setup going
I gave the OP a thumbs up, because he's Happy with what he's got.
What he spends his money on, and is happy with - Good on him.
I'm happy with driving 2 1999 Vehicles, a Van and an old AU, my main dirt bike being a 2002 model, bought in 2003, and most of my various other bikes being far older. With a few far younger bikes.
Each of our approaches, and most others from everyone else, are viable / good by me.
Going for a ride on my Mates Varg(s) tomorrow - well, today, as it's 2am here now, must to go to bed, Now - with the old Smoke Belcher to be ridden as well.
Those 2 very different extremes, are the future of Motocross / Dirt Bikes, for me. Good Times!
Way too reasonable and measured of a response for Vital
Right on you guys win, my price rant aside, you have the sickest bikes, a ridiculously cool truck, and are out there doing it. If we were at the track we’d bro down and geek out for sure, and even have the price argument because what are friends for if not to argue and bro down with lmao
Would be great to ride until 10;00 PM in the summer. So that kind of justifys the Varg. The truck not neccesary. But to each their own.
Shoulda bought the better looking, less problematic F150 lightning, but congrats on your very expensive wedge!! Don’t take it through a car wash.
All I saw was a revolutionary electric vehicle and an abomination on 4 wheels
Congrats on a sick setup, if that's what makes you happy and you can afford it, enjoy!
Stealth riding on summer nights and backyard racing anytime you want must be sweet. Silent fast riding in the woods must be awesome.
How did you do the math to come up with average price of a 450 being $8k?
Are you talking about used bikes? According to Google every one retails for more than $8k.....
KTM 450sx MSRP - $11,099
Husqvarna 450fc MSRP - $11,199
GasGas 450mc MSRP - $10,199
Yamaha YZ 450 MSRP - $10,199
Kawasaki KX 450 MSRP - $10,499
Honda CR 450 MSRP - $9,699
Suzuki RMZ 450 MSRP - $9,199
Nice setup, those Tesla trucks just look so weird. I wouldn't mind getting a Rivian though or a Ford Maverick which is more inline with what I can afford.
