I'll admit to riding one.  My buddy converted his CRF450.  On a backyard track, it was actually a lot of fun.  It was like riding an ultra fast pit bike.

Why take a perfectly good dirt bike and turn it into one of these? Its like trying to turn an Acura into a Ford Pinto.

Best described as the worst of both worlds. Those quad type tires push on the front end. 

I bet it would be awesome in sand dunes, but dang that would suck everywhere else.

Just, why

I rode one of those RV90s once. Don't knock it until you try it; the thing didn't corner so well, but holy hell, you don't ever need to take your feet off the pegs. They balance for days. I think a 450 version would be a blast! 

As a kid I had a friend with a 600 acre ranch and his dad had all of the toys. Dirt bikes, 3 wheelers, quads, tractors, farm trucks, etc. We abused all of them, except for the BW. That piece of shit sat in the corner of the barn and gathered dust until I grew up and went off to college and then I have no idea what happened to it. It's like taking everything that is fun about riding a dirt bike, and stripping it all away. Terrible handling and god forbid you get the tires off the ground and have to control the bounce on the landing.

reminds me of a tw200. Rode one of those once and it was a silly fun play bike. for $14k......yeah, no.

If I had stupid money...it would definitely be on the list of stupid shit I'd buy.

i have 5 bw 200's..... i've had them since 1986. and let me tell ya....they handle bad enough with the 200 in them. no way i would ride that with a 450 in it. haha

its absolute waste of a good 450 honestly. there is nothing cool about it outside of looks. it will be an absolute deathtrap otherwise

I've ridden a Fat Cat in the snow. It goes a lot farther than people would believe.

yeah i've got ours up at our cabin and they are a great 4 season bike for recreation. gettin harder and harder to find parts of them tho. 35 of years of enjoyment ain't too bad. bought them on closeout back in 86 or 87 from a dealer that was closing. think i paid $1200 each back then lol probably the only cycle purchase that panned out lol

I was going to mention him. I follow his Instagram and for a solid few years he was raving about how fun these are to ride. I think he works at a dealership that sells them. 
 

There’s a fast local guy here who races pro supermoto and he was going out to the MX track and riding practice days on a crf450 with supermoto wheels and road tires. He’d run a class and stay up front with the fast guys. Looked ridiculous, but had a great time and everyone respected the skill. This seems kind of the same. Looks stupid, but if you’re shredding and enjoying yourself, nobody is gonna give you shit.
