you need more than vehicle: 1 is the family hauler and another that is a no compromise truck. Not sure where the idea came from trucks should do everything in the same vehicle?

Go check Hondas' website. The only thing the other mid-size trucks do better is offroading, payload, and towing. That's not what a lot of people buy a mid-size truck for. Just go read comparisons, it's no secret why the Ridgeline is ranked the best.

Nobody lied to me, I was on the lot yesterday and saw for myself. Not sure what trim package it was but net cost was $45,7 something. This is so cal pricing so maybe that's it. Sounds like you got a good deal on yours.
I paid $27,625 for the gray one, $30,125 for the terrain version.
Both are AWD $2200 option and spray in bed liner $495 included in final cost.
Ecoboost, not into hybrid and still averaging around 30 mpg.
Saved 500 on each, farm bureau member.
In Tyler tx I saw a Simi drive over a Silverado in town at 30mph, I don't think it would have been any different with a ranger...
My 23 Mav XL hybrid. Ordered directly from dealership and waited 9 months. 30k OTD. I would never pay a mark up on a new rig, especially a cheap truck. Of course the money saved on dealer mark up was used for wheels, tires and springs but I couldn't be happier with my little bike hauler.
And reliability. Its never been uncommon to see them go a couple hundred thousand miles without issues.
I still drive all three today. The 85, I bought for 450.00 , 18 years ago...
I would buy that truck.
It's disappointing these aren't still available new in Australia...
A mate of mine makes a bloody good living buying those types of things - well, mainly the Holdens - and sending them off to Britain.
Seems they have become a sort of "Sports Car" option over there among some.

This just happened, my 2000 Tundra work truck. Best truck I’ve ever owned.

Oh man that thing is beyond cool! I've been watching that company for a while now hoping they would hold on and start producing vehicles, the retro styling of all of their concepts is exactly what I'd want to buy. I don't know how I feel about owning an electric truck but theirs might put me over the edge. . .

Not a pick up, but I had a Monaro as a daily driver for about 6 years. Still miss it.
Alpha Wolf is certainly interesting. Even if you aren't into EV's, the fact that there are more truck options/styles on the horizon is exciting. I hope the new Hilux Champ will become available worldwide.

At 62 with mangled hips,,, my old 97 Red Rocket Nissan is as high as I can get in the back of. I figure it probably has more miles left in it than I do. I'll stand pat.
Just picked up a 2000 Ranger 6cyl ext. cab with 90k miles. There is some paint failing on the bed and some other little stuff going on but runs smooth. I had a small Ranger growing up and several S10's. Excited to be able to haul my bike without a trailer and if I get home late can just roll the truck into the garage and call it a night.
