Or lack of.

Peacock/NBC pissed off just about all of football fandom when it exclusively aired the Chiefs-Dolphins game last night. Heard about lots of people signing up for a week trial of the service to watch the game. It's too bad the game was concurrent with the race and not a lead-in.

Will the NFL backlash to the streamer make the moto community more attractive going forward, or will the modest numbers SX does compared to 1 exclusive NFL game put the nicheness of the sport in perspective for the bean counters?

I don't have to go out and turn the antenna so I'm pretty happy with the serviceSilly and I thought the whole broadcast (RDL and the night show) had a different and cool vibe.  Hubbard was allowed to speak above 8th grade level.  Brayton and JT are brilliant.  Sorry to those that think RC doesn't belong.  I think otherwise.Blush

Was it just me or were there a few more "big" companies advertising during commercial breaks than we normally get?

I don’t think anyone at peacock is comparing sx to a football game they paid 110$ mil to air.

nascar and nfl seem like a products in decline and investments therein are made with an eye toward pumping social narratives into a complacent and captive consumer base more than anything.

NFL salary caps and viewership would all say otherwise.

I think most people would say moto on peacock is pretty dialed in at this point, once Weege and Stew are in the booth most of the time it will be a golden age of moto broadcasting. Gripes are mainly nitpicking.

Is it just me or does everyone have to search to find the SX coverage? You would think Feld/MXSports would require them to put the icon on the Home Screen for the race coverage the day of the race. How are they going to attract new fans if you have to actively search for the coverage?

It was on the Home Screen right next to the nfl game for me last night.

I’ve had zero problems with Peacock. I’ve actually watched a fair amount of their other stuff. Just watched The Holdovers, Paul Giamatti’s new one. I recommend

Zero issues with Peacock. It works great and I actually like it better than network TV.

You just go to sports and scroll to the smx icon, it’s right next to the nfl logo. They couldn’t make it easier to find. Its also the first thing you see when it’s already on.

Lol it sure ain't highbrow humor! Righteous Gemstones is probably may favorite in the crude-humor category. Anything Danny McBride touches these days is gold.

I have no problem adapting to the changing landscape from network TV to streaming, I just have a problem with having to subscribe to several different services to he able to watch what I want.   I cut the cord to cable several years ago due to their ridiculous pricing and soon we are going to be paying as much or more than before. In a year or 2 the NFL will be off network tv.  Sucks.

I much rather pay $5 for Peacock and one or two other services that I actually use and watch. Beats the hell out of $100 a month for cable that I have no interest in any of the programming.

Also this weekend we were camping and riding all weekend in the middle of nowhere South Carolina with no signal. My buddy had just enough signal in one are of camp that he could send a text so he tried and lo and behold Peacock worked without buffering with very subpar cell signal and we got to watch the racing.

Yep. The NFL has recovered from their woke period. Many people have come  back as it has faded into the background.
