It's kind of interesting to see (in combined qualifying) how mud seems to equalize the A and B sessions in the 250s quite a bit, but not much at all in the 450s... Or would that be because of track degradation after one session (I don't have live feed, so can't see that happen.)

RV was the points leader....and the point people are saying is that he wasn't in the top 22 in points after the first race a so he should be relegated to the B practice....I don't give a shit either way and personally feel he should be in the A, but the level both sides go to prove their point is ridiculous...

In any case there is no such rule.

Isn't by saying no one is making a point in itself making a point...

They had a lot of mechanical issues last weekend. I'm not sure the addition of mud is going to improve that.

Exactly that.

It's not an insult to Beta, it's a reasonable concern, but I'm sure they're ironing it out.

I want to see it work and I really want Colt Nicholls to get some good results when he's back.

What is also overlooked is that they are both on Hondas.  A lot of folks out there do not like Hondas (I've been that way for 50 years).  I will never want a Honda to win no matter who is riding it...When they switch to another brand, I will root for them...Well, maybe not if they go to Yamaha! I will agree that they are at the top of the sport now and I don't think anyone is close to Jett at this time.

I don't mind the non-Americans as my mom is from outside the US and one of my aunts has lived in Australia for over 50 years.

Sorry, I don't understand brand loyalty, follow riders, not teams.

Sorry, I don't understand following riders that I have never spoken to or traded words using any sort of media.  I do not know them at all and they don't know me.  So, suffice it to say that we disagree on this topic.

BTW: I would pick both Lawrences to be on the podium tonight if I were a betting person.

I have read so much crap in 10 minutes, gosh.

Elevate the debate, thanks.

(haters go find another sport)

I got them both behind AP right now in my fantasy. With Hunter in 2nd.

But it's a whole ass crap shoot tonight.

Some of the Lawrence "hate" is just human nature, when something gets super popular, people either hop on board or turn against it. Happens with everything.

Club has been around the paddock for several years and what happened to Phil’s bike was super rare (bad injector). Beta has a completely new team of personnel, all of which have never been involved in SX before. They apparently had a laundry list of issues at A1 so adding mud to the mix on an unproven/sorted bike isn’t ideal.

Beta will take the small wins as they come but there will be a lot of bike issues along the way. This unfortunately means fans will use them as a punching bag.

must be why there was a whole thread made about the issues of it year over year…

but I’ll agree normally Yamaha is reliable.

I had not seen that. I wonder what’s up with that.

Cope however you like. But the fact that Americans are about to get mopped up for the next 8yrs doesn't sit well with fans. All of them? No

It's not there.  No such rule.  People are fabricating pure bullshit.  Lots of opinions, no clues.

Justin Hill, Albright, kobusch and more didn't make the top 40. I wonder if that were different had they announced the schedule change before practice...

I hope my favorite rider (Tomac) has better results than my favorite NFL team (Browns).

I mean if it was about being fair.  The first round they should just draw names out of a hat to place riders in groups A, B, C. After round one it should just be by points standings.

But pro racing isn't usually about being fair.  And it really wouldn't change anything.

It's a safety issue, and to prevent issues with the fastest and slowest guys not having to dodge each other to get a best time skewing how guys really stack up against each other.

If it was the 18 or 96 they would've ran Q2 to make sure they were in. Or just made up some provisional rule.

So they didn't extend that safety issue to Prado last weekend, why?

That’s how I feel about deegan. The most exciting guy to watch ride outdoors, but the nut huggers give him zero breathing room

Probably because he had never raced SX here at all before.   That's commonly why, and it's not the first time I've seen it.  Prado's people probably lobbied for A.  The call could have been made the other way, and may relate to the size of the 450 field at A1 too.  I doubt he'll ever see B again.

The constant pushing of these guys down our throats. The 3 hour infomercial on Saturday nights. The 400 threads on vital gargling their balls. The talking about dethroning the king before the first sx race. The list goes on....

Remember when Jason Anderson said he doesn’t care about growing the sport. He just wants it to stay badass. The more we “grow the sport,” the more outside influence will affect it. Soon enough it will become about everything BUT THE SPORT. Just like what happened with the NFL and now F1. Does anyone else care about this? I feel like I’m taking crazy pills!!!!

This is the lamest bunch of BS ever.     Has nothing to do with them being foreign.  It's the over-exposure and the unbearable "super-fans".

I actually like Jett (but can't stand the constant flood of everything Lawrence".

Now Hunter,  don't like him....but don't hate him either.
